Situation with a transmission General Motors handling of this situation (transmission held hostage in a warehouse in Michigan) was totally and completely unacceptable. HOWEVER, I could not have asked for more from Hawthorne Chevy on how they did the best that they could in this unfortunate disaster. Mr. Michael Rivera was wonderful through the entire process. He was understanding, supportive and knew enough not to give me lip service. His honesty and transparency was most appreciated. The manager of the Service center also was understanding. I imagine this situation wasn’t pleasant front their end either. Give Mr. Rivera a bonus for this...he deserves it! More

Where do I begin We made appt explaining we need our suburban over the weekend, as we have 4 children and the only vehicle we own that can fit our family. We were conf We made appt explaining we need our suburban over the weekend, as we have 4 children and the only vehicle we own that can fit our family. We were confirmed that we would have the car back by the weekend. Friday afternoon we were told to the car was ready and to come get it. During the ride home we noticed the A/C was not fixed. We called the service center and told to bring the car back. Which we did..the service rep said he could not explain why the a/c was not fixed and they would need the car again. I informed the service rep we were promised the car would be returned by the weekend and we needed a loaner vehicle to accommodate our family. We were told they had no loaners available or could not provide us a vehicle. I’m not sure your service department has loaner cars...as we have never been given one. This morning we were notified that the car was in fact never repaired, although the paperwork stated it was fixed. We were told that the car needed to stay at the dealership to wait for the technician. Now here we are on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and my family has to sit in the house as we cannot leave. This level of service is unacceptable. Besides the time and frustration, we have had to pay babysitters to watch our kids to make multiple trips to your dealership. we are ready to purchase a new vehicle today, however we will NOT be doing that at your dealership. Besides this terrible service experience, we have made multiple attempts to deal with your sale department to discuss our new vehicle options. All of which has been ignored. More
