No one ever contacted me from the dealership even after finding out that they had delivered a defective car. Car has been sitting at the local dealership for repairs for over 2 weeks and I am paying the le finding out that they had delivered a defective car. Car has been sitting at the local dealership for repairs for over 2 weeks and I am paying the lease.I drove from NY when lights for low oil came on with car having 60 miles and I was told it was likely an electric glitch and I should keep driving while car was defective and was leaking oil. Most stressful car buying experience of my life that a brand new car has been in repair shop since 2 days after being delivered. Would never go back to this dealership. More

I previously left a positive review for this company because I believed they were honest and transparent. Unfortunately, after my experience, I have realized that was a mistake. The vehicle I purchased because I believed they were honest and transparent. Unfortunately, after my experience, I have realized that was a mistake. The vehicle I purchased had several issues that the dealership clearly promised to repair. Before purchasing the car, I specifically requested a full diagnostic report. Ryan provided me with a diagnostic from 2025 and assured me that all existing issues would be fixed as long as they were not external problems. However, the work was never fully completed. After picking up the vehicle from the dealership, the check engine light came back on while I was driving home. This was extremely concerning because I had already discussed this exact issue with Tom before leaving the car with them for repairs, and he assured me it would be taken care of. Because I no longer trusted the condition of the vehicle, I paid for my own diagnostic. The results revealed serious problems that should have been addressed before the car was returned to me. Based on the findings, I am now afraid to even drive the vehicle due to potential safety risks. When I contacted the dealership to resolve the issue, I spoke with a representative named Vell, who identified himself as a sales manager. He refused to address the unfinished repairs and stated that they only sell Volvo vehicles, even though they sold me a Mercedes. He also said that Regina, the service manager, stated there was nothing they could do. This response is completely unacceptable. Promises were made before the sale that were never honored, and now the dealership is refusing to take responsibility for unfinished repairs on a vehicle they sold. I feel completely deceived by this dealership. It appears that once they received payment, they no longer cared about the condition of the vehicle or the safety of their customer. This has been an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience. I will be pursuing every available option to have this situation properly addressed. More

I recently traveled an hour and fifteen minutes to purchase a vehicle from Smythe Volvo, and it was absolutely worth the trip. From the moment my husband and I walked in, we were warmly greeted by Jos purchase a vehicle from Smythe Volvo, and it was absolutely worth the trip. From the moment my husband and I walked in, we were warmly greeted by Jose (Joe) De Valle. He showed us the vehicles we were interested in and took the time to thoroughly explain the infotainment system and driving features before our test drive. Joe’s knowledge of the vehicle was impressive, and we appreciated that he focused on what we wanted rather than trying to push us toward more expensive options. He made the entire process easy and efficient. After working with Joe, we met with Santana Piriz in finance, who was just as pleasant and professional. Once everything was finalized, Joe introduced us to Allen Faynzilberg, who went above and beyond. Allen walked us through every feature of the vehicle in detail, helped pair my phone, downloaded the apps I use regularly, and showed me how to add more in the future. Out of all the vehicles I’ve purchased in the past, this is the first time I feel completely confident using every feature, and that’s because of Allen’s thoroughness. Allen also brought us to the service department to meet the team before bringing us back to Joe, who walked us out. We experienced warm, seamless handoffs at every step. There was zero downtime, and the entire process was smooth, organized, and exceptionally professional. Overall, this was truly one of the best car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. When I’m ready for another Volvo, or any vehicle, I will absolutely return to Smythe Volvo. Highly recommended! More
