Hate to do this. I rarely write reviews and have never had to edit one. But, my experience with Liberty Subaru since purchasing my vehicle has been highly disappointing and I can't stand behind the 5 star had to edit one. But, my experience with Liberty Subaru since purchasing my vehicle has been highly disappointing and I can't stand behind the 5 stars I gave originally. They have not stood behind their word, they are charging me additional/unexpected fees, my "Certified pre-owned" vehicle is low on fluids, already needs to be inspected, and the dealership refuses to help me in any way. Yes, I can admit that these are things I should have looked into before pulling away. However, being that the certified pre-owned vehicles are supposed to undergo an inspection with a 200+ point checklist, I felt confident at the time that everything was taken care of before I left the lot. The only reason I am not giving 1 star across the board is that John was actually incredibly nice and friendly, but the customer service is lacking and "being nice" just doesn't cut it with such a large investment. I will be paying the fees and eating the charges as I understand a contract was signed, but, I do hope I can help someone reading this review before they make the same decision (mistake) I did in shopping at this dealership. There are a number of other Subaru dealerships within driving distance, and I hope you take the time to check these out (Ramsey Subaru comes highly recommended). My first indication that this was not the place to purchase my vehicle should have been when the finance department took a look at paperwork passed along to them when sitting down with me and said to each other "he really John Clarke'd this one." This is not an experience I will be forgetting soon. More

I normally don't write reviews, but the service I received at Liberty is worth writing one for. Not only was Liberty able to provide a deal significantly lower than other dealers in the area - three received at Liberty is worth writing one for. Not only was Liberty able to provide a deal significantly lower than other dealers in the area - three other dealers could not even come close to beating the price, especially with the current car shortage - their service and personal connection was exceptional. John Clarke from sales was personable, caring, and an absolute joy to work with. He made sure to explain everything and was helpful the entire time. Furthermore, when something I asked to be removed couldn't be, he provided additional services to cover the cost. If that was not enough, my experience with Tom Portee in finance was also great. Most associate the finance department with "where they get you", but Tom was the opposite. He made sure to explain each document and fee and provided all the time I needed to review. There were no hidden costs and in particular, he did not try to pressure me into getting additional warranty coverage. Having had a traumatic car buying experience the first time I bought a car, this experience with John and Tom has helped to ease my anxiety with purchasing a car and relieve much of the cynicism I have with car dealerships. It was clear that Liberty is intentional about working with you, not against you, and I will definitely come back when I need a new Subaru. More

Not only were we given the best price (the first Subaru we shopped around at other dealers), but th are really happy with how everything was handled. I'm a first-time Subaru buyer and already I love my new 2021 Forester Sport! I was excited but also overwhelmed when I walked in the showroom. I recently purchased my second Subaru Forester from Liberty Subaru. Even though my first purchase from Liberty in 2015 was a good experience; I was anxious about purchasing a new car. The Liberty Subar Liberty Subaru. Even though my first purchase from Liberty in 2015 was a good experience; I was anxious about purchasing a new car. The Liberty Subaru staff made the purchase a stress-free experience from the time I walked into the showroom to the day I drove away in my new Forester. John Clarke, the salesman who assisted me was very professional and informative. He understood my situation and at no time did I feel pressure from him to make a purchase. John worked with Dan Cohen, the sales manager, to offer me a deal that worked for me. He also worked with business manager Dave Finkel, a very nice young man, who assisted with financing. When Subaru’s financing rate changed Dave worked to find a financing term and rate that worked for my budget. When I returned to pick up my car several days later John was very helpful and most of all, very patient. He took the time to explain the new features in the Forester and assured me I could return to the dealership for assistance when necessary. Thank you to the entire staff at Liberty Subaru for making my new car purchase an exceptional experience. More
