I will not return to this service department. My car was repaired almost immediately after contacting Emil via web messenger. My service advisor Lynese Hutchinson was difficult to work with. I have purchased many cars over the years and have worked with dealerships representing Toyota, Nissan, Jeep, Volvo, and several other brands. When I recently started shopping for a Subaru Crosstrek, I spoke with dealerships in Glen Burnie and Annapolis, as well as Heritage Subaru. To say my experience with Heritage Subaru was excellent would be an understatement. Our sales representative, Junaid Mustafa, and finance manager, Jonathan Bookstein, made this the easiest and most painless car-buying experience I've ever had. Junaid called us around 7:00 p.m., and after a simple 15–20 minute conversation, we had a straightforward, honest offer. There was no back-and-forth negotiation, no games, and no hidden agenda. When we arrived at the dealership, the experience was just as seamless. We were in and out in about an hour. There was no pressure to purchase unnecessary services or add-ons—just a transparent, efficient process from start to finish. There are many Subaru dealerships throughout the Washington metropolitan area, and you can buy the same Crosstrek from any of them. What sets Heritage Subaru apart is the experience. Their professionalism, honesty, and respect for the customer's time are second to none. Thank you, Junaid, Jonathan, and everyone at Heritage Subaru for making this such an enjoyable experience. In January 2025, we purchased a 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV through Heritage Subaru Catonsville (within the MileOne family). We anticipated being able to apply for a Previously Owned Clean Vehicle Credit when through Heritage Subaru Catonsville (within the MileOne family). We anticipated being able to apply for a Previously Owned Clean Vehicle Credit when filing taxes in 2026 due to the wording in the vehicle ad. This would have resulted in a $4000 refund as calculated by TurboTax. However, Heritage Subaru Catonsville did not provide us with the mandated IRS Form 8936. We admit to being under-informed when we purchased the vehicle and should have been more clear on the process prior to the purchase. However, the IRS website clearly puts a large onus on the Seller to carry out the requirements and we assumed that the dealership would walk us through the process. We also summed following the purchase that we had the information required for tax purposes. Again, we take responsibility for not looking into this in more detail. We also did not receive any credits off the original purchase. When we called the dealership to inquire about the necessary form for taxes and why this was not provided, we were met with the response that "they don't do that". This is not what was stated in the vehicle ad or suggested by a post on the parent company's own website. This was our third car purchase with MileOne and is definitively our last. We will not be duped again and we hope that others will not be either. More
