Today only I found that this dealership had sold me something called DEALER-ADDED EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES for $1299 which includes ZurichShield Interior protectant ZurichShield Exterior protectant something called DEALER-ADDED EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES for $1299 which includes ZurichShield Interior protectant ZurichShield Exterior protectant to my surprise when I reviewed the paperwork I do not see any mention about this "DEALER-ADDED EQUIPMENT AND SERVICES for $1299" . so its kind of they hide the information on paper, so none of the paper tell me what this ZurichShield protectent for interior or exterior is covering. so I googled it and found the detail and was satisfied but then realized where is this ZurichShield warranty information, as dealership never provided this to me. so today I went to dealership and asked about it. and to my surprise the ZurichShield warranty they had on my car is only for 1 year. for the price I paid this ZurichShield and its warranty should be for lifetime of the car or at-least 6 year,. this dealership is acted like a cheat when I asked how come you are charging full money from customer and buying them warranty for only 1 year and that too not disclosing it during time of sale. the warranty paper also do not have my signature. this dealership is not working in GOOD FAITH with customer. Ken Cobb should be trained so he understand how to talk to customer when it comes to trust issue, he knew that i was not provided any information about that 1 year warranty and what he told me is that i am giving you now, he should had shared this information when i got bunch of paper from dealership why this important paper was missing. this dealership cheated me by telling all good stuff about this ZurichShield protectant but hide me that its warranty is not lifetime or 6 year but just 1 year. they charged me approx. $1000 towards this ZurichShield protectant to give me only 1 year warranty . More

I want this review to be helpful to both potential customers and to Fred Anderson Toyota. I have purchased 6 new Toyota’s from Fred Anderson Toyota in the last 18 years, some with trade-ins and all ha customers and to Fred Anderson Toyota. I have purchased 6 new Toyota’s from Fred Anderson Toyota in the last 18 years, some with trade-ins and all had been serviced there. I have spent thousands on extended warranties, accessories, tires and batteries during that time. I consider myself a really good customer and had always felt that I received great service from both sales, parts and service, along with Good trade in values and loyalty discounts. UNTIL the PANDEMIC. In the last 6 months I tried unsuccessfully to buy 2 new Toyota’s from Fred Anderson Toyota, but didn’t because I was able to save thousands of dollars from other dealers. The savings came from higher trade-in values and higher discounts off MSRP. Just 3 days ago was my last attempt and when I escalated my concern to the new car sales manager and indicated that I was disappointed that I had to work so hard at trying to make the deal work I was told “It’s just business”. I then proceeded to Carmax and received an out right buy 7 day offer that was $3000 higher than what the dealer offered. With that knowledge I eventually called and texted 3 other Toyota Dealers that agreed to the Carmax offer and a reduction off of MSRP of the new Toyota that I was trying to buy. Fred Anderson Toyota would not match the Carmax trade-in value or discount from MSRP, window tinting, etc because that “supply and demand during the vehicle shortage “ allowed them to sell vehicles at full cost. Well another local Toyota dealer wanted to “earn my business “ and matched the Carmax amount and discounted some off of MSRP, and no cost to me window tinting ($899 package at FAT). I feel terrible because my salesman worked so hard for me at Fred Anderson and I have had a long standing business relationship with him, and he is stuck in the middle without the sale. Fred Anderson Toyota advertise’s they are “The Family Store” which I assumed that I was part of a long-standing family, but I just found out this year that loyalty doesn’t mean you will be given any better discount’s than anyone else during this pandemic. “It’s just business” . My advise is AWAYS go to Carmax First if you have a trade-in to be able to have an understanding of the current market on your vehicle before walking into Fred Anderson Toyota. Check with other dealers in and out of the area on pricing. You cannot expect that you will receive a competitive deal at Fred Anderson Toyota just because you have been a customer for 18 years. In April of this year I saved over $3000 buying from another Toyota Dealer, and now will save over $2000 buying from another Toyota Dealer. This was a time consuming and stressful ordeal during a stressful pandemic time. So shop around because being a loyal customer doesn’t matter More
