I got transferred to Charlotte North Carolina in 1995 and then transferred and settled in Pinellas County, Florida in 2002. For entertainment I enjoy Nascar, College Football (Virginia Tech Hokie), Hockey & Golf. My wife (Jennifer) and I enjoy going to the movies. First, I was very happy that I wasn't bombarded by salespeople. Kevin had already conversed with me via internet. He didn't send a hundred emails with unnecessary ads and opinions. He gave me the time to answer and he answered promptly. He was specific in his information. When we made our appointment, he listened closely enough to know I was pulling up and met me at my car. He said, "Hello, Pauline. How are you today?" Purchasing a vehicle is scary enough these days without sales associates charging in your direction. So kudos to this dealership for taking the time to know your customers before they even get to the dealership. Kevin rates a "5". Mickey explained to me thoroughly what my financial, warranty, and protection options were. He allowed me time alone to read and think about what I was doing before signing. There was no double-talk or fast talking. This is what a business associate should be. He rates a "5". Denise was very appreciative that I gave her an opportunity to help. This is a rare quality these days. People are so quick to "help", then once they have your money, just as quick to dispose of you. Accessory packages may not be a necessity, but she isn't forceful to get a sale. She was very casual, and perhaps that is why I didn't have a problem letting her know what I wanted from her department. She offered me the choices of what I call "pretty-packages", and gave me time to think. When I made my decision, she allowed ME to make the appointment for when I was available, not she. This is a very different approach. So many services tell you when you HAVE to make an appointment. The loaner was ready for me in time to get to work and my vehicle was "prettied", ready and waiting when I returned. Denise rates a "5". Overall, this is a very friendly and helpful dealership. I have always been a FORD fan. This experience proves that Ford does care. Wow... where do I start to describe the fantastic experience I had at Walker Ford! Having bought several Ford's from other dealerships around the country, I have to say I have never experienced the h experience I had at Walker Ford! Having bought several Ford's from other dealerships around the country, I have to say I have never experienced the honesty, teamwork and professionalism as I did at Walker Ford!!!!!! Let me tell you what a TEAM these professionals are: From my email to the Internet Sales Manager, Kevin, who responded to my inquiry in lightening speed, very knowledgeable about the Ford products, answering my initial questions, then promptly scheduling an appointment to come in to speak to him at a time that was convenient to me, to the wonderful tour of the vehicle and its features to his expertise in finding that my employer qualified me for the X plan. Kevin went out of his way to ensure I kept a smile on my face, by creating a wonderful internet sales experience for me! Then, I met Ivey Thigpen, the General Manager, who greeted me with a huge smile and welcome to Walker Ford and thank you for allowing Walker to serve your automotive needs! How fantastic that was to see he really cared about ensuring my auto needs were met.!!! Thinking that Ivey and Kevin were above and beyond my previous dealership experiences, I was introduced to Harry Rumberger the Finance Manager! I don't ever remember sitting in a finance office and not being a nervous wreck over what I was getting into. I was amazed at the financing that Harry put together, and how relaxed I was talking with him about my financial situation. Harry was a very active listener and arranged the financing to benefit me! He sincerely showed that a finance experience does not need to be a high pressure experience, but one to best suit the customer. I also had the pleasure of working with Phil, who assisted in the final delivery of my new Focus, all within hours of my initial email to Kevin. Phil was very conscientious of my time , insuring I got home to my granddaughter promptly, but insuring I understood the features of my vehicle before I left for home safely. Oh and did I forget to mention Jennifer, who greeted me with a warm smile and ensured that I met up with Kevin for my scheduled appointment. She also made sure she came in to congratulate me on my new vehicle. Last but not least, I have to tell you about another part of the team that helped me... Tim Katt, the new cars sales Manager. another wonderful team member that took the time to share how to sync my cell phone, when I could not get it to function. Not only did he get it synced for me, but shared some fantastic information to make using my phone directory with a little bit of more ease. There was no rushing to get the job done, only concern that I understood my vehicle and its systems! This is the professionalism that should be used as a training program for other Ford Dealerships , especially the one up the street from Walker that felt it necessary to give misinformation to me, then tried to use pressure tactics to get me to buy a vehicle I did not like, gave me inaccurate information about what I could finance and finally that no other dealership had the vehicle I wanted. All I can do is say ….Thank you for leading me to Walker Ford and the wonderful customer service team!!! I HIGHLY recommend Walker Ford ! Walker Ford shines for Ford Motor Company!!!!!!!!! Kevin was very helpful when buying our new car. We found the car on the internet and sent him a note right from the site. I got an email back right away and set up a time to go see the car. I've purchased about 50 new and used cars in my life time. This was by far the best buying experience I've ever had. The price he gave me sounded so good, I expected to have to battle over the value of my trade in. Thankfully, that didn't happen. I was offered more than a fair trade in value and the deal was agreed upon in a matter of moments. No back and forth with the manager or any of that nonsense. The bottom line to the buyer is do your home work, find the vehicle you want, then go to Walker Ford and see Kevin Jewel. P.S. This was my first new car purchase, and it was the most pleasant, comfortable expierence I have ever had with ANY type of purchase/salesperson, EVER.
