On February 19, 2020 I purchased a Subaru Crosstrek from McLaughlin Subaru in Moline, IL. Hands down, this was the most extraordinarily wonderful dealership I have ever dealt with. One word summarizes McLaughlin Subaru: Professional. From the manicured grounds, clean and neat lot, sparkling showroom, well-organized store center, to the comfortable lounge with fresh fruits and gourmet coffees - simply an outstanding, welcoming, comfortable facility. The people! amazing! Kim Hicks is the most believable, knowledgeable and helpful sales representative with whom I've ever dealt. She is honestly focused on long-range customer satisfaction. Through thorough preparation and research we quickly arrived at what is provably a great price on the car. Thank you Kim, please be here when I need you again! The Dreaded Finance Guy, who stereotypically upsells add-on coatings and gew-gaws, was Robert Coronado. Worth the trip! Initially, showed up for an appt after driving an hour away to test drive a car that an office girl had taken home to drive for the weekend. I can't remember the salesman that had failed to have it available but he sent Kim Hicks to deliver the bad news. Kim went above and beyond calling to have the lady bring the car back. Working with Kim on price (which is never fun) was a wonderful experience. She was very personable and to the point. There was no back and forth. This is the way car dealerships should all operate... no game playing. Our only complaint was with the finance dept. We financed through them and the interest rate was the highest we had come across. They made an offer to drop it if we agreed to buy the extra warranty. Left with a great used car for a great price anyways! More
