Working with Chris was, as always, a great experience. This is the fourth vehicle we have purchased through him, and he consistently proves to be professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. Along with Kim—who is fantastic at what she does—she truly helps make buying a vehicle from Allen Turner a pleasant experience. Unfortunately, the finance portion of the process was the complete opposite. Had I known we would be dealing with John again, I would have chosen to shop elsewhere. After such a smooth and positive experience with Chris and Kim, the interaction with John entirely overshadowed it. I am honestly still surprised that I stayed and tolerated the way we were treated. John was extremely aggressive and pushy—exactly the kind of finance experience that makes people dread car shopping. I believe I was so taken aback by his behavior that I didn’t walk out, something I deeply regret now. What continues to replay in my mind is John saying to us: “Have you ever totaled a car? Doesn’t seem like it. And without GAP insurance, you have to go through six hurricane seasons with this car. When it’s totaled—and the value won’t be there—you’ll have to decide whether to keep paying on the negative balance monthly or figure out how to pay the remaining balance in full, because insurance will not cover it.” When we pushed back again and my husband explained that this was not our first car purchase and that we understood how this works, John looked at my husband and said, “Is this your car or hers?” That question was not only irrelevant but also inappropriate. He is my husband, has worked in finance for over 20 years, and together we have purchased nearly 20 vehicles over the course of our marriage—some in my name and some in his. We have never experienced a comment like that from anyone in this industry. This was also not our first negative interaction with John. When my daughter purchased her vehicle, John initially had the interest rate wrong. When my husband pointed it out, John became defensive and argued that my husband did not know what he was talking about. My husband was correct, and John ultimately had to redo the paperwork. To be clear, Chris is an outstanding salesman and I would work with him again without hesitation. Kim is excellent and always a pleasure to work with. However, John should not be in a customer-facing position. He made me second-guess my entire purchase, made me feel belittled, and left me feeling frustrated and upset long after the transaction was complete. I genuinely regret not walking out of his office. I am a true "Car Guy," and over the years I have purchased many different makes and models of vehicles from numerous dealerships. This past week, my wife and I purchased a NEW 2026 HYUNDAI PALISADE purchased many different makes and models of vehicles from numerous dealerships. This past week, my wife and I purchased a NEW 2026 HYUNDAI PALISADE HYBRID, and we couldnt be happier with it. We had an OUTSTANDING EXPERIENCE at the ALLEN TURNER HYUNDAI Dealership in Pensacola, FL...👍 👏 😊 We found the staff to be friendly, knowledgeable, and best of all, NEVER "PUSHY." 😊 They took the time to answer all of our questions (I had many), and they made sure we found the "right" vehicle that would fulfill our needs that included factors like Value, Quality, Price, and OUR personal preferences. The entire process was very smooth from start-to-finish, and everything was clearly explained. One of the key points that I made before meeting any member of the Sales Staff was the Sales Person had to be knowledgeable about the Hyundai product line. Fortunately, the first member of the staff that we were introduced to was the New Car Sales Manager, Kim. After a brief introduction, Kim introduced us to our Sales Person, "Robin." After a one-on-one discussion with Robin (who ACTUALLY LISTENED to our requirements), I quickly began to understand why Kim had selected Robin to work with us! She was not only an experienced Sales Consultant, but she was very Professional AND Knowledgeable about the Hyundai products. HOWEVER, the the best was yet to come - Robin's "Full Blown Demo" of the New Hyundai Palisade Hybrid was THE VERY BEST "DEMO" I HAVE EVER SEEN BY ANY SALES PERSON! 👏 👍 It was at that point in our buying process that I knew ROBIN was the right Sales Person, and she had captured our attention and business. We found the entire Pnsacola Hyundai Dealership facility was clean, comfortable, and welcoming to us. How many people do you know who will drive over six hours to a dealership to purchase a car when there are multiple options for same make and model within an hour? Well, that is just what we did. We were drawn to Allen Turner Hyundai due the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Dealer Rater, Google and Cars.com. The ratings were almost hard to believe, but we are a believer now! Without a doubt, the best car buying experience I've had in over 40 years.
