Trying To Force Coverages Not Required By Law Needed a car & thought I would try this location out. Dealing with Carmen (BDC) was a pleasure & they tried to work out a deal for me. Only problem wa Needed a car & thought I would try this location out. Dealing with Carmen (BDC) was a pleasure & they tried to work out a deal for me. Only problem was, that dealing with Kyle (Sales Manager), he instructed me that in order to get a loan, I "HAD" to get their GAP Coverage & Extended Warranty or there was no deal. That was approximately $2,400 more (And $35+ a month in payments) than the actual cost of the car, taxes, motor vehicle fees & down payment. When I told him that by law, GAP Coverage & Extended Warranties cannot be forced onto a consumer, he proceeded to tell me that is how the dealership does their deals & I could not opt out. Sorry to say, that this practice completely turned me off to this dealership & I will be sure to let others know about this. I will also be contacting NJ Consumer Affairs, NJ BBB & KIA Home Office about this location & business practices. Kyle completely turned a possible deal into one that wasn't. Buyer Beware & know your rights. A dealership or a bank, cannot mandate GAP Coverage or an Extended Warranty from the dealership as a condition of the loan. Many insurance companies provide GAP Coverage if desired for a much lower price. Don't be taken in. More

I wandered around the lot and then decided to visit the showroom. There I saw a beautiful pearl Optima. I sat myself down with Will. He was extremely pleasant and sat in the car with me explaining all the features. I asked him to run some numbers. I was trading in my ‘14 soul. What I enjoy most is the friendly atmosphere and of course receiving a great deal!! Will, Kyle, Tony and Ed worked hard and had me on my way home in my “pearl beauty” in a relatively short period of time. In closing I give an A+ to Nutley Kia. Scott was super nice, knowledgeable, professional, and honest. He made the whole process actually enjoyable, as opposed to the typical car purchasing nightmare. Kyle was very helpful! Ed was also very friendly and made the whole financing process so effortless!! He was super organized, prepared, informative, answered our questions, and was so nice! Scott even introduced us to Ann in the Service Area who along with others in the service area were so friendly and even congratulated us on our purchase! We will definitely be using the Service team for our other cars now also. We can't thank everyone enough for making our experience such an awesome one. We are looking forward to coming to Nutley Kia for our next car purchase!! More

Will was extremely helpful, honest and an absolute pleasure to deal with during the whole process, which was quick, may I add. He's a really great salesman. Everyone was genuinely nice and welcoming. There was a real sense of community in the dealership in which they all worked together in helping the customer, which was refreshing. I dealt with Kyle, Tony and Ed as well and all three of them were wonderful to work with. I did not feel taken advantage of as I have in the past as other dealerships. I would most certainly recommend Nutley Kia. More
