Performance of truck was not what I was told it would be My experience with Sun Toyota was less than stellar. I went to the dealership looking for a Tacoma that could handle pulling some weight... not a lot My experience with Sun Toyota was less than stellar. I went to the dealership looking for a Tacoma that could handle pulling some weight... not a lot, less than 800 lbs. The salesman said the 4 cylinder version would be plenty strong however, if I wanted the 6 cylinder it would be $3,000 more. I went with the 4 cylinder. After it was delivered I noticed damage on one side and an annoying rattle in one of the doors. To their credit, Sun did repair the damage and fix the door rattle. A few days later I needed to move about 500 lbs. The truck struggled going up overpasses on US 19 and I was the only person in it. I called Sun about the lack of performance and was told I could upgrade to the 6 cylinder for $5,000.00. Plus, the upgrade would be considered a trade-in and I would have to pay the dealer fee of around $800.00. Why $3,000 additional to upgrade before my purchase and $5,000 after?! And a dealer fee on top of that. I had had the truck for all of 10 days, two of which it was in the repair shop. I will not purchase another vehicle from Sun. More

Everything very well explained and Phil made sure all would go smooth today. Communication A plus! Much attention to detail, As simple as NO ad stickers or ad plate on my car, full tank and floor mats even though not the right ones. Additionally, Lee went out of his way to locate 2nd keyless remote for the car and picked it up from previous owner! Who does that?? Highly recommend this very cool Lee and his team!
