I did not meet Chip Basney during my four hours at this dealership. I cannot give a rating. Leslie Altimus was extremely helpful when I called the dealership directly regarding a used vehicle I found dealership. I cannot give a rating. I called one morning at 8:30 am and she answered her phone in her car on the way to work. She then called me back once she arrived at the dealership to answer any further questions I had about the car. I spoke with Leslie numerous times before driving 1.5 hours to test drive the Honda Pilot. Once I arrived at the dealership, she came up and personally introduced herself and welcomed me to Basney Honda. Matt Podlin was very personable. He allowed me plenty of time to test drive the 2022 Honda Pilot Touring and spent time with me going over the features of the vehicle. Ken Bloss was willing to work with me when paperwork issues bogged down the final transaction. Ken was very professional and pleasant. We were successful with the transaction and I bought the car. More

The sales staff was great, especially the work that Mr. Allen did for us, but there are some general problems. I was not given an inspection report or carfax even after I chose a vehicle that I would like Allen did for us, but there are some general problems. I was not given an inspection report or carfax even after I chose a vehicle that I would like to purchase. Other dealerships that I've dealt with have had their inspection reports immediately available along with either autocheck or carfax. I think Mr. Allen thought I was upset with him when I left the dealership; however, I was upset with the banks that insist on punishing my success with high interest rates because I live within my means and I don't need to borrow their money. I would have purchased the Toyota with cash, but it was at the upper limit of my budget, and I wouldn't have been able to cover maintenance expenses down the road if there were any. Having an inspection report ready is especially helpful for those of us buying with cash, and I think if I had an honest inspection report in front of me, I might have decided to purchase that night. I'm purchasing a car for Jordan Ford only because they were able to provide an inspection report, without having to ask, and I know exactly what I will have to pay for now, and down the road. I would recommend the sales staff at Basney, but I think Basney would do much better by being up front with carfax and inspection reports without having to be asked to present them. More

I arrived 1 hour early to pick up my car. It was not ready, Ok, my fault. I proceeded to wait for 2 hours. Short staffed. Ok, I get it. Finally given keys to my car. One key was for the wrong It was not ready, Ok, my fault. I proceeded to wait for 2 hours. Short staffed. Ok, I get it. Finally given keys to my car. One key was for the wrong car. Annoying, but not a huge deal. Get the car home, one of the warning lights I asked to have checked went on and has stayed on. Overall, not the most positive experience. Bob was friendly enough to talk with, but bottom line, he forgot that my vehicle was supposed to be ready on Saturday. He thought it was supposed to be Monday. Instead of what I thought was going to be a quick 15 minute pickup ended up being 2 hours of wasted time. More
