This was confirmed by the factory oil filter still installed. Our GM Certified Master Technician was able to verify that your turbocharger was working as designed and that the issue was with the unchanged oil starting to sludge which was causing the turbocharger to malfunction. As discussed, you’re responsible for maintaining your vehicle, and your warranty only covers flaws in manufacturing, not repairs caused by a lack of service. Therefore, if you miss an oil change or don't change the oil in a timely fashion, GM can actually void your remaining warranty. We hope in time you’ll come to recognize Service Manager Lucas Luchsinger acted in your best interest to save your vehicle’s remaining warranty while exhibiting the customer first mindset Holm Automotive is famous for. We would also like consumers to note regularly scheduled maintenance is included for the first two years when purchasing any Holm vehicle new or used.
