Carl, thank you for taking the time to review your service visit, however inaccurate it may be. You towed your vehicle to us because it wouldn't start. In your words, your friend attempted to fix the no start issue and cut a bunch of wiring under the dash. When your vehicle arrived, there were multiple damaged wires under the dash and around the ignition. We did as you asked and diagnosed the starting issue. At first you declined us to fix the starting issue but later changed your mind and gave us your approval. Our technician replaced a blown fusible link and repaired multiple wires to correct the starting issue. Now, the vehicle starts and runs. When you came to pick up your vehicle (10 days after repairs were completed), you requested to "check it out" first before you pay to make sure EVERYTHING was working. We had the vehicle brought up for you to inspect. Immediately after you started the vehicle, you check the radio and said it wasn't working. We had the vehicle brought back into the shop for a quick inspection on the radio and heater issue. The problem is deeper than a blown fuse and will require further diagnosis to determine why the radio and heat/ac control do not work, again, not related to the starting issue. You declined further diagnosis. As discussed on the phone when your vehicle was ready, there were other issues with your car, including the abs system not working. You said you had brakes plus do brake work and would take it back to them. We allowed you to wait 10 days to pay for and pick up your vehicle as we understand car repairs can be unexpected and you had to wait until payday to pay for the repairs. At the end of all of this I want to be clear, your vehicle was brought in for a no start issue that your friend couldn't fix and in turn likely caused more damage to your vehicle attempting to repair something they were clearly not qualified to be working on. We were able to diagnose and fix the starting issue and allow you extra time to pay for the repairs.
