My 2nd Cherokee This is my 2nd time in 3 years purchasing a Cherokee from this dealership. My first Cherokee's lease had come up so I made a service appointment and s This is my 2nd time in 3 years purchasing a Cherokee from this dealership. My first Cherokee's lease had come up so I made a service appointment and sales appointment to explore my lease-end options. Everyone at this dealership truly listens and goes that extra mile. Service on my last Cherokee was always a pleasurable experience and expect it to continue to be with the new one. Both buying experiences were great. They really go that extra mile to get you in a vehicle you are comfortable with while keeping in mind your budget. It is really a zero pressure experience. I will continue to go to Nielsen for all my Chrysler/Jeep needs. More

Not Reliable. Horrible Experience Service Department does not return calls. Left two messages for Manny, service manager and he did not have courtesy to event return any of my calls. My car was at the dealership for several days for the repair and nobody calls back with the status. I made several attempt to contact and if I reach Roland he never had any answer about my car. They DON'T CARE!! More

Worst service EVER I made an appointment 1.5 to 2 weeks in advance. I bought my vehicle in on the 23rd before 9am. The service writer Erin, seem to have an attitude when I made an appointment 1.5 to 2 weeks in advance. I bought my vehicle in on the 23rd before 9am. The service writer Erin, seem to have an attitude when I dropped it off (first flag and I should have went to the other service writer who received the great reviews). But, I gave her a chance. I was told that I would receive a call later on and she stated that they might not get to my vehicle that day which I didn't understand. But I was leaving town to go on vacation so I didn't think it would be a problem, but was I in for a shock. She called me before the end of business day and said she assigned it to a person and he would be getting on it first thing in the morning. So no call on the 24th. I called the morning of the 25th, and she told me they were waiting on my warranty company to send out a rep to inspect my vehicle. I found this very odd when I wasn't informed of anything nor gave an oral approval. So I called my warranty company and they said this wasn't true and they found it odd that I didn't get a call first. So I called to speak to the manager Manny, who told me he would look into it and give me a call back. No call at all from him. So I called Mrs Erin, back which I got her voice mail. So my fiancé called and asked for Manny, which I spoke to him via 3way and asked him what was going on and why didn't I receive a call back. He said he forgot and he will hit me back in 15mins. I waited an hour and I called back and demanded my vehicle. Which this is now the 27th. I would never recommend this place to anyone and please STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!! More

Awful Customer Service About a week ago my brakes just suddenly stopped functioning while driving. Thank god my daughter was not in the car! I brought it in to the closest r About a week ago my brakes just suddenly stopped functioning while driving. Thank god my daughter was not in the car! I brought it in to the closest repair shop I could find. After evaluating my brakes, everything was fine. They told me it was a recall on my car and only the dealer could fix it. I called Nielsen Dodge of East Hanover, NJ, telling them my story and how unsafe I felt. They did not seem to care of my well being and told me they could schedule me a month out. The sense of urgency baffled me. Clearly not the response I was looking for. Then I called the next closest Jeep dealership in Morristown. They scheduled me right away and come to find out, it was a recall that was previously "fixed" by Nielsen Dodge, but installed incorrectly!!!! Hence why my brakes failed on me. One of the many reasons that I will no longer get my car serviced there. More

MY LEMON OF A PT CRUISER MY PT Cruiser was purchased new at Nielsen Dodge Chrysler in East Hanover NJ. Like clockwork it's in the shop every 7- 9 months or so for not starting MY PT Cruiser was purchased new at Nielsen Dodge Chrysler in East Hanover NJ. Like clockwork it's in the shop every 7- 9 months or so for not starting and draining the battery. They have ripped me off with useless repairs that didn't need to be made. They can see the problem, but just can't FIND it! Last time it was in, the service manager SWORE it was fixed, even though I was not convinced. The problem they said they fixed didn't seem like anything that I noticed was wrong with it. Now it's dead in the drive again. The last time it was in, the warranty expired while it was in the shop, not that it was ever covered, since they couldn't find the problem, they said it couldn't be submitted to the warranty company to cover. I've been stranded at the airport and at the cruise terminal which is always fun coming home from vacation toting luggage. I've spent thousands in USELESS repairs , tows, new batteries, and rent a cars for weeks at a time. Now 10 days after it died I'm still waiting for a call back from the service department. I called the corporate headquarters and got a claim number, but NO ONE calls back. I left a message for a manager today, did he call back... that would be a BIG FAT NO! Now talking to a lemon lawyer and plan to call Help Me Howard. Buying magnetic signs tomorrow to put on the LEMON to tell the world where NOT to go to buy a car! I also called a Banner Plane company to see how much it will cost to circle the dealership with a banner for an hour. Not as much as you think and I would get SO MUCH satisfaction! This dealership needs a lot of work on service. I don't even blame them for selling me a lemon, it's 4 years of NOT FIXING IT and not calling me back! Looking for more sites to write a complaint! Maybe I can get their attention this way. Rating is MINUS 10 More
