Mark Atkinson is a lifelong resident of Fitchburg and comes to North End after years of success in the restaurant business and running a Staples store. He lives in Fitchburg with his wife and 2 sons. The whole family drives only Mazda's and Subaru's.

I spent about 3 hours with him as he showed me some different cars and helped me figure out what I wanted. I loved the CX7 he showed me! I did shop around some other places that day but at the end still liked the CX7 and went back to buy it. Mark explained all the paperwork to me and made sure I understood it all. After I purchased the car he even made sure I knew what all my new features were and how to use them!! I was so stressed about having to shop for a new car but he make it so easy for me. He was awesome and I would most definitely go back and buy my next car from him! Thanks Mark! :) More

The experience with North End Mazda ran diametrically opposed to the norm. It began with my inquiry about a Mini Cooper for sale that I sent via their website. My first contact was with Mark Atkinson. He didn't send me a sales email, rather, he asked me for my permission to contact me to talk about the car and answer any of my questions! I was so impressed by this respectful approach that I immediately responded via email. I had a number of questions that Mark answered and, again, he applied no pressure to come test drive the car or to push me toward a sale. A few days after the initial contact, I made an appointment to test drive the car I had seen...a used Mini Cooper. I took a friend with me, another female, and Mark again was friendly, helpful, and respectful. He had the car running and waiting for us. We were allowed to test drive the car by ourselves....something the other dealership I visited didn't allow. I fell in love with the car during the test drive. Mark asked us how we liked it and if there were any problems with the vehicle. I initiated the negotiations. That was so refreshing! Instead of chomping at the bit to make the sale, Mark was concerned about our experience with the car. The negotiations were quick, fair, and honest. I came with a preapproved bank loan and worked with Jason Cote who found me a better deal at another bank! The car came with a warranty and I decided to purchase the extended warranty that covers more than I could even list here...an excellent warranty program! The day I picked up my car, it was raining buckets outside but that didn't deter Mark from squatting in the pouring rain to put on my new plates and make sure everything was in order before I drove away. He didn't just shake my hand "good-bye" but made sure I had his cell phone number to call him if there were any problems, concerns, or questions about the vehicle...and not just for now but for as long as I have the car. While Mark was tending to the set up of my car and registration and so forth, Jesse Manning stopped in and we had a nice chat. I expressed how much I appreciated Mark's approach and that I was treated with respect and dignity and fairness. Jesse explained his philosophy that is shared by the staff at North End Mazda, and that is everyone deserves to be treated well and an honest business is the only kind of business worth having. I had to drive 1.5 hours to get to the dealership, but every minute and every mile was so worth it! Courteous, respectful, honest staff that helped to put me into the vehicle of my dreams at a price I could afford...and even saved me money over my own bank of 10-years! I look forward to regular visits to Lunenburg and North End Mazda for all of my servicing needs and future vehicle purchases. I thought a trustworthy car dealership was an oxymoron...turns out, North End Mazda is the real deal...a TRUSTWORTHY car dealership! I am so grateful for their help, for making the purchase of this car a pleasant experience, and treating me like an intelligent, competent adult worthy of respect. For every woman (and man) out there....this is the place for your automotive needs! More

I recently purchased a low mileage 2012 mazda3 from Mark Atkinson. The entire process start to finish was as painless and exciting as buying a new vehicle can be. Mark knew the product inside and out and was extremely informative. I just picked up the car yesterday and the vehicle was immaculate from the interior to the rear window. I got a full walk-through and explanation of the vehicle's systems which was very helpful. Overall, the experience is something I will surely remember when purchasing a new vehicle down the road and I encourage others to do just the same! More

I picked my subaru out the same day of the sale, asked if it could be ready same day and Mark Atkinson AKA Markie Mark made it happen! There was a vent in the car that was missing a shiny decal that really was setting my OCD off and he helped with getting that process in check. Although there was some issues with the title of the car he was very professional and friendly about the challenge of getting that fixed. 02-22-2014 ... What can I say? This past week I purchased a CX-5 from NorthEnd Mazda. The reason I purchased my automobile from NorthEnd is their sales consultant, Mark Atkinson. This is the thir purchased a CX-5 from NorthEnd Mazda. The reason I purchased my automobile from NorthEnd is their sales consultant, Mark Atkinson. This is the third Mazda I purchased from NorthEnd through Mark. The first purchase was such a satisfying experience in that, after thorough research, I felt that I was treated fairly with the price, all questions were answered to my satisfaction, all requests were met ... and the fact that the car was used and they let me drive it 20 miles to have my mechanic look it over. In addition, after purchase whenever I had a question or a concern I called Mark and he immediately put me in touch with the person I needed to speak with or he did the ground work himself on my behalf. Mark is the quintessential sales consultant that offers great service from initial contact through the sale and into ownership. Dedicated, excellent customer service with a personable touch. When I decided to buy a second Mazda, I texted him, told him the car I wanted from NorthEnd's inventory and that since I was so satisfied with my first purchase he would get the first opportunity to impress. Then he patiently worked with me to get the price I wanted through text messaging. Professional, patient, eager to get you in the car that you want, not the car he wants to sell you. Over a two week period we were able to hammer out a fair deal without face to face contact. Versatile, able to adapt and still come through with a great price and great service. So, when I decided to get the CX-5, again I called Mark and gave him the first opportunity. One of the many things he does is ensures that the sale, preparation and pick up go smoothly. Each time I bought a car, he sent a driver or picked me up himself to get me to the dealership and I live 25 miles away. In addition, he was always available even if it was an off day. If I was unable to get in touch with him right away, he always responded in a timely way, even after purchase. This time I talked with Mark Atkinson in sales at the dealership about trading in my Mazda 3 for a larger vehicle to accommodate a growin years now. This time I talked with Mark Atkinson in sales at the dealership about trading in my Mazda 3 for a larger vehicle to accommodate a growing family. Mark was very thorough in his questions and his responses to make sure I was in the vehicle that was best for me. The sales process was smooth and very comfortable, with no pressure. Just a friendly discussion. I received a price on both the vehicle (Mazda 6) I was purchasing and the trade in on my Mazda 3. Mark made sure I knew my vehicle, was very friendly and courteous, making sure that I got what I wanted and needed in my new car. Jason Cote in finance made sure the numbers worked, again a very smooth and painless process for me thanks to him. This is my family's fourth vehicle from North End Mazda and my first from Mark. I can't recommend Mark or the dealership enough. Not to mention that the vehicle is a great fit for me and my family! More
