We had already done our research and knew the car we wanted was in the dealer inventory. We walked in, Matt greeted us and we asked to test drive the car. When we returned we sat at Matt's desk and wi wanted was in the dealer inventory. We walked in, Matt greeted us and we asked to test drive the car. When we returned we sat at Matt's desk and within 15 mins and a couple of counter offers, we had a deal that we feel was fair for both sides. Haggling with a car dealer is something that I always dread. I want it to be fair for BOTH sides. Preparing ahead of time and also using some AI tools helped me know what was going to be a good deal. Salespeople did not seem generally interested in me or my needs. Basically wanted to have a debate with me when I stated the lifters on this specific year vehicle have been a problem historically. He said I thought it was taken care of it went through the cleaning process last night. I said did nobody inspect it? He said I guess not. After he took it to get re cleaned it still wasn't the greatest. He said well we don't armor all anything. I said well I'm spending $35,000 on a vehicle here I would expect it to be vacuumed and or wiped down with something. More
