As box store Dealerships go, Wellesley Volkswagen was entirely palatable. They did take the time to work with me, were very pleasant and accommodating. Unfortunately, I feel this type of dealership is entirely palatable. They did take the time to work with me, were very pleasant and accommodating. Brought my 18 year old with her plates in hand- fully registered - ready to buy- I co-signed and the loan and title she would pay for/earn. Signed a P/S THEN WAS TOLD WE NEED HER ACTUAL SOCIAL SECURITY CARD. I'm sorry what? My credit score is 820 ish. Again- we both signed the sales agreement. Suddenly only myself could buy the car. I said, I own a car but thanks. Well- she has no credit. How is she supposed to have had credit already? Something isn't right and no one had the guts to fess up exactly what went wrong. But Meg had the guts to call me the morning after to ask how I was and if we found a car yet? Kudos to her. Ps: went to Balise VW in RI and bought a car that same day after leaving Wellesley and had no trouble. More
