"We'd love the opportunity to address any issues with our team here." A private response was sent to Peter and he never responded. So, here is what you should do as the GM to address some of the issues: 1. Remove outdated signage in your lobby that your sales people reference. 2. Train your sales team using the Honda Corp. and dealer documentation (get everyone on the same page). Find a way for them to be an advocate for the customer and not a second Sale Manager. 3. Penalize people in finance who itentionally lie to customers to sell warranty - in my case he went as far as adding the paperwork during the signing process which was caught and he disposed of it. He was told at least dozen times that it was not wanted. The quoted price was $4.2k while other dealers asked $1.4k - that is insane markup. 4. If you offer an opportunity to address an issue with a customer, make sure it's not a money making scheme. Try to address the issue and if you happen to make money, great, if not, at least you have a customer who will return to your lot.
