Ms. Smith- Thank you for sharing the emails back and forth with me regarding the situation, and I am sorry you decided to decline the offer I put forward to help remedy some of the situation. I thought it would be helpful to say what information was shared following my investigation of your review, the documentation you provided, and my internal research. I will do my best to detail my findings in this response as I did in our emails. Before doing so, I hope you accept my apologies for falling short of providing a positive service experience. Tire Replacement: The first place we start exploring a vibration while driving is with the tires. Upon visual inspection, the tires had no apparent damage or issues, which led to the Road Force Test. (Results attached, Tire Specs, sorry for the poor scan). When the test was run on each tire, it was apparent there was an issue with the Right Rear tire. The road force is notated in the lower left-hand corner. The bar should be below the "20" number; initially, the number was way above the allowable limits. According to my team, this meant an internal issue with the tire existed & it needed to be replaced. Following the tire replacement, the vehicle was tested to see if the vibration was still present. Unfortunately, it was still present. It doesn't mean the tire didn't need replacement, as it failed the Hunter Road Force Test, but it shows we had multiple issues. Document ID 5683132 & PICO Scope The second document I provided in my email was a bulletin from GM, which discusses the Vibration Concern and PICO Scope test results. Within the document, GM states that the front axles must be replaced if the PICO results show that T1 is above 40. Once both are replaced, per the document instructions, the vibration concern should be resolved. As a side note, the technician does not need to remove the bumper to complete this repair, but I will address this in a second. Proposed Resolution and Plan Forward We failed in numerous areas, including communication, repair follow-up, explanation of repairs, and the condition in which we returned the vehicle. There is one thing I never do: make excuses. We failed to provide you with the experience you expected and trusted us to provide. I will offer you my sincere apology and try to make amends. Now, I can do nothing about my team's lack of clear communication other than counseling them on the importance of ongoing and constant communication with our guests. We need to do better in this area both internally and with our customers. In addition, I hoped you would have allowed me to detail the vehicle interior and the look at the bumper. Regardless of why or how the bumper got into its current condition, we want to get it corrected for you. If you allow me to do so, I would like to schedule a time for you to drop off the vehicle. While the vehicle is here, I want my detail team to clean the car and have my body shop look at the bumper. I am sure we can resolve both issues with one visit. As I expressed in our communication, I know this will never take away the experience, but I hope that I can rebuild the trust you once had in my organization through my actions and willingness to step up to resolve the ongoing concerns with the vehicle.
