On July 30, 2026, my wife and I visited McGrath Honda to purchase a new 2026 Honda CR-V EX. Our salesperson, Ali, helped us choose a vehicle from the large inventory on the lot. We test drove a white CR-V EX, liked it, and decided to purchase it. Ali connected my wife's cellphone to the vehicle so we could use the navigation and other features. He also told us the vehicle had only two miles on the odometer. We were very happy with our choice. After the test drive, we parked the vehicle near the north entrance and went inside to negotiate the price, complete the paperwork, and make the payment of approximately $37,500. The entire process took about two hours. When everything was finished, Ali took us to a different area near the south side of the building to pick up the vehicle. We thought this was unusual because the vehicle we had test driven was originally parked near the north entrance. Ali then asked my wife to reconnect her cellphone to the vehicle. When we asked why, since it had already been connected, he said he had deleted the previous connection. Although we found this odd, we did not question it further. The next morning, my wife noticed that the seat upholstery was a different color from the vehicle we had test driven. Remembering that we had been asked to reconnect the cellphone, we suspected that we had been given a different vehicle. I immediately called Ali. He acknowledged that it was a different vehicle but said it had the same features as the one we had test driven. We returned to McGrath Honda the same day and asked to exchange the vehicle for the one we had originally selected. The sales manager declined our request. Instead, the dealership offered two complimentary oil changes as compensation. I also requested arbitration, but that request was denied. Although the vehicle we received may have had similar features, we were disappointed that we were not informed before delivery that we would be receiving a different vehicle.
