One of the worst dealership service experiences I’ve ever had. What should have been a straightforward warranty repair turned into four separate trips, multiple days without my vehicle, poor communication, c had. What should have been a straightforward warranty repair turned into four separate trips, multiple days without my vehicle, poor communication, conflicting information, unnecessary visits, and a repair process that appeared completely disorganized from start to finish. I was initially told the broken door handle was something I caused and was quoted roughly $475. After returning and walking through exactly what happened again, it was finally acknowledged that the issue was likely a defective part and should be covered under warranty. From that point, things somehow got worse. I was asked to return for a follow-up visit that ended up being completely unnecessary because the manager had already approved ordering the part. When I returned for the actual repair, I was told it would take about two hours. Instead, it turned into an all-day ordeal with almost no communication unless I personally went looking for updates. At one point I was told the technician was working on my vehicle, only for my phone to notify me shortly afterward that the vehicle had just been unlocked and started. I was then told it would only be another 15 minutes. An hour later, I had to ask again, only to find out the technician was struggling with the repair and the manager had to assist with putting the vehicle back together. I finally received the vehicle back with the replacement handle unpainted and not sitting completely flush, which required yet another trip. I was told that final visit would be quick, and once again they kept my vehicle essentially the entire day. I was also told there was no reason for the dealership to avoid warranty coverage because they are supposedly paid essentially the same by Kia as they would be by the customer. Yet the warranty paperwork I later signed showed Kia paying approximately $139, compared with the roughly $475 I was originally being charged. That explanation simply did not match what the paperwork showed. I do want to be fair to my advisor, Nico. I don’t believe every failure here was directly his fault, and I do believe he was trying at times to manage a bad situation. My issue is with the overall service department, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, questionable workmanship, and the complete lack of respect for a customer’s time. Four visits for a door handle repair is unacceptable. Having to repeatedly chase down updates is unacceptable. Receiving the vehicle back unfinished is unacceptable. I gave this dealership a chance because I was hoping for a better experience than I had elsewhere. Instead, this experience was significantly worse than expected. I would not recommend purchasing or servicing a vehicle here based on the level of service I received, and I personally will not be returning. More
