My name is Patrick Zimmerman I am a Sales Consultant at Cortese Ford Lincoln. I am a graduate of St. John Fisher College, class of 2012. I began my career as a sales consultant at Cortese in August of 2012. I thrive on working with customers to address their wants and needs in a vehicle. 3rd time a charm Truck needed an oil change and some recall work. Generally I take my vehicle to Van Bortel where I purchased the truck. Van Bortel is a little out of the way as far as drop off for service. Brought truck to Cortese Ford because of the convenient proximity to my workplace. After the initial oil change there were puddles of oil forming on my driveway under the truck. Just before I returned the truck for this problem I noticed that there were oil drippings on the tray located just below the oil filter. I also commented that the oil was a quart low. The explanation from the shop was that this was just excess oil that must have spilled during the oil change. If this were the case I figure that any good service tech would clean up any excess materials (puddling of oil would be one of those) when they completed the job the first time. My first impression: work was done fine, just sloppy workmanship only on the oil change. Chalk it up to a one time experience. I like the location and would probably come back again. Went home, on the the next morning there was new oil puddle under the truck. Climbed under the truck and found that the oil plug was leaking and that there was still a good residue of oil around the oil filter. 2nd impression: I would not recommend this service center to anyone. a little frustrated that I would need to bring the truck back a third time. I was going to make arrangements to take it to a small shop I use near my home. He convinced me to bring it back to the dealer. Made another appointment with Patrick. Patrick went above and beyond to make sure I was happy when I returned this time. He supplied me with a free loaner while the truck was in the shop. made sure that that the repairs were made and power washed the oil residue off the frame and the engine. He had included a complimentary detail for a later date. I am happy to say that there is no oil puddling on the driveway. 3rd impression: Would I recommend this service center? Yes and No. Location is great. Customer service was fantastic! The service work on the recalls were fine and completed on the first day. The quality of the service work for the oil change was sub-par. I would probably come back again for the non-routine service work, not too sure I would return for an oil change. Great Service I did not feel as though I was pressured into getting services not needed. Just in Time for Winter Having been out of town for the month of November, the first snow fall I encountered upon my return (and the inability to get my car up the driveway) Having been out of town for the month of November, the first snow fall I encountered upon my return (and the inability to get my car up the driveway) made me realize I needed to quickly get my snow tires on. I made a call to Cortese and they told me to bring up my car the same day, They mounted my tires and also realized my oil change was due (that observation saved me a return trip). That type of response and service is the reason that Cortese Ford is the ONLY place I will take my car. The attitude of the people you deal with is tremendous and the local WiFi allows me to work while waiting for my car. More

Oil change Scheduled my 2018 f-350 for its first oil change. No problem. Arrived on time. No problem. Was greeted by service warmly. No problem. He lays down an info sheet on the new 2019 Ranger. PROBLEM! They aren't available yet and we need a new truck for the wife. Tom said no problem. We get one in I'll call you. Problem solved! Thanks Cortese Ford...problem solvers one and all. And thanks to the front end guys for polishing off that dozen donuts. More

Faulty parts purchase Sometime around April of this year, I made a cash purchase ($600) for a rear light assembly for my 2015 Edge (covers the entire rear width of the v Sometime around April of this year, I made a cash purchase ($600) for a rear light assembly for my 2015 Edge (covers the entire rear width of the vehicle) because of my concern that an existing crack in it would result in a possible leak in the unit, resulting in a condensation build up. At this time there was no leak or condensation. The part was installed and a couple of weeks and spring rains later, condensation began to form. I went back to Cortese, spoke with the same Service Adviser and was told he was looking into it and would contact me. After weeks of no contact/communication, I returned on a number of occasions and was told by the same gentleman that he and his boss were deciding how to handle the issue. After numerous ignored phone calls and emails, I'm still waiting for resolution. As a new Ford owner and new customer to Cortese Ford, I'm not at all impressed with the service and treatment of this facility. It's obvious that a faulty purchase was made by them from an unknown supplier. For whatever reason, they are not able or willing to force the vendor to replace the faulty part. Why should I as the consumer have to suffer a bad purchase made by Cortese, makes no sense whatsoever to me. After sending an email that included his boss and what I believe to be his boss’s boss, I finally got a reply and was told that some type of imaging device needed to communicate the issue to Ford Motor has been down for months now. What has that got to do with me being made whole and the problem corrected by replacing the unit as a professional courtesy and simply doing the right thing, they should be waiting for the supplier, not me. In the meantime, I'm out $600 and have to tolerate a fogged up light across the entire rear of my vehicle, which was not a problem until I had them change it, they caused the problem. This is a bad way to do business. Is it a common practice with this and other dealerships? At this point, I obviously have to pursue other avenues for resolution. My recommendation, stay away from their Service Department... More
