Very good experience buying new car Rick was very friendly and very helpful. While negiotiating the actual price is never fun, it was much better than what I've experienced in the past Rick was very friendly and very helpful. While negiotiating the actual price is never fun, it was much better than what I've experienced in the past at other dealers, and overall I left with a good vibe. The process, and the pricing in particular, was honest and upfront, with no hidden fees or other tricks like you might find at other dealers. I would definitely buy a car from Rick and Capistrano Mazda again. More

Won me over I had been in touch with a few other Dealerships much closer to me and the SJC Dealer was the only one that was patient, friendly and most of all will I had been in touch with a few other Dealerships much closer to me and the SJC Dealer was the only one that was patient, friendly and most of all willing to stay in touch. I knew I wanted a new SUV and after my research I knew it had to be a Mazda. During the COVID-19 scare money was tight. So, My Sales Rep. didn't give up on me and found me just what I wanted. When driving up from Oceanside to the Dealership I was very impressed with beauty of the Dealership (ok, I'm a girl, we all know girls like clean and shinny things)... But, once I met my Sale Rep. Whitney in person this Dealership won me over. Whitney greeted me with a smile (even if it was under a mask) and we hit it off. She had the perfect CX5 sitting out there waiting off me. Cleaned and sanitized ready for me to test drive. And of course that test drive got me signing at the dotted line. Oh and of course Thanks to Tom (manager) and the finance (Paul) was quick and harmless with a laugh or two. Thank You very much all of you!!! Anita Bradford More

We felt taken care of at the time - but We were extremely happy with the service and care at the time of purchase of our vehicle - the associates were lovely and attentive. But we were extremely disappointed when we learned over a month later that the extended warranty we purchased requires us to take the car to Capistrano Mazda for service, which is 40 miles from our home. This detail was not disclosed to us when we purchased the vehicle and were asked if we wanted to purchase the extended warranty. Had we known this detail, we likely would not have spent the money on this extended warranty. Also we still have not received details on how this warranty actually works - no detailed paperwork, just a phone number to call and a card to carry with us. This has put a sour taste in our mouthes for this purchase. We also purchased the dent protection policy, and then later someone who works for Mazda told us we might have to pay a surcharge to get dents or scratches touched up if it needs painting because we bought a car that has a premium paint color (Soul Red). This also makes us less than pleased. We had a disappointing experience at a different Mazda dealer (plus they required us to go to their dealership in Puente Hills for extended warranty coverage) so we walked out and came to Capistrano Mazda, which had been highly recommended to us. More

Too much paper. They should copy what online dealers are doing. They literally had to fill out paperwork by hand. It’s 2020. Also I am repeated customer, doing everything from scratch is annoying. Took 2.5 hours just for paperwork and I skipped the sales pitch of the finance department. More
