When I arrived in the drop off area, I told the man that I was there for a state inspection. He asked me if I has my proof of insurance and I left it on my truck's dash board. I went inside and told the service advisor (Sabrina Daughte) that I was there for an 11:30 appt to get my truck a state inspection. About an hour later Sabrina found me in the waiting area to say my truck need further repairs (parts would be around $75) and I agreed to have repairs done. At 1:10 pm I paid an left the dealership. The next day when I was trying to register my truck online, I found out that the state inspection was never done. I call the service department to see what happened. They had done an oil change instead of the state inspection. I had to return to Ford to have the inspection done. The Service Manager (Perry) was trying to handle the situation but basically said that there was no place that it stated that I had come in for a state inspection. The day before they had taken my proof of insurance out of my truck and didn't put it back. I had to have my proof of insurance emailed to Perry. He agreed to not charge me for the inspection, I guess since they did a $44 oil change that I didn't ask for. Plus I had to come back to Ford to have the inspection done and I live in another town. Also both times I was there after the mechanics/technicians were finished, I saw my truck just parked in the back while I was waiting for it. I had to find a service manager to let them know my truck was finished the service/repairs. Then 2 days later I get an email for a Missed Appointment Notification at Bill Utter Ford. In that email it states the service is for a STATE INSPECTION!!! Thus the statement that Perry made that there was no place that stated I requested a State Inspection was untrue! I bought my first Ford truck in 1987 and have had a Ford vehicle since then but if this is they way the service department is going to treat your customers, I won't bother buying another FORD! The only person that was apologetic was Carina Thompson but she is the last service person who had to deal with a very upset customer. More
