I will never forget Charlie Condon. From the return call

He even came in on his day off for me to pick up my new CRV, and then stayed for the rest of the day to assist in my husband's purchase of a Ridgeline. I have never seen a car salesman go above and beyond like he did. We were also very impressed with Phil and his eagerness to make the numbers work and with Peter in how he managed to get us approved for two cars within 24 hours. I was also quite impressed with Michael's willingness to help me figure out how my bluetooth feature works. He could have directed me to the manual but he didn't. He took the time to explain and show me how it works. The facility is very customer friendly with the coffee bar, clean bathrooms, comfy lounge area with computers, tvs and toys for the kiddos, not to mention the stunning aquarium! Definitely the most positive car shopping experience I have ever had. I will gladly tell all of my friends, family and coworkers about Wilde East Towne Honda!!

I have been a loyal Honda customer. In the past 15

When my 98 Accord broke down, we decided to try the new Wilde dealership. We were looking for a used car in good condition with low miles. Wilde had a good selection and the prices were lower. We were fortunate to meet Charlie. He was great. He went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and assist us in anyway he could. We were able to negotiate the price some with the managers, Peter and Shawn, and get a great price for a great car. Peter in finance, was very patient with me and dealing with multiple phone calls to my wife who could not be there in person at the time. They were able to get us a better interest rate than our credit union. Charlie stayed late that night to help complete the deal. The next day, he even came and picked me up from work to take me over to pick up the new car. This saved my wife from having to come into town from Mt Horeb on the far west side of Madison to give me a ride. That is great customer service. Thanks Charlie. I would definitely recommend Wilde Honda and I would highly recommend Charlie as a salesman.

Our experience in purchasing a new vehicle was both
exceptionally 'great' and excessively 'irritating'. Our salesman, Allen, was phenomenal! He met with us and took our phone calls several times over
exceptionally 'great' and excessively 'irritating'. Our salesman, Allen, was phenomenal! He met with us and took our phone calls several times over a 2-week period. He also explained features clearly, was not the least bit 'pushy' (which we detest), and was professional and pleasant at all times. However, the day we took one last test drive and made a choice between the three vehicles we had been interested in, it was around 4 or 4:15pm by the time a price was agreed upon.
Then, the dealership seemed dismayed that we did not wish to just make a down payment and come back another day to complete the deal, while (since we were not financing the deal) we were adament that we wanted a 'done deal' before we left (with our schedules, it is difficult for both of us to be present at the same time.)
Unfortunately, we then had to wait and wait AND WAIT for the paperwork to be drawn up and Peter to meet with us to 'complete' the process--which included going over all the paperwork (GOOD) and trying to sell us extended warranties/coverages (to the tune of $1000+) that we had immediately stated we were not interested in purchasing (BAD).
While I understand that is part of his 'job', he simply didn't seem to want to take 'no' for an answer and continued to explain each different variation of coverages in great detail. That caused us to become very irritated with that part of the process which kept us there until after 6pm. Needless-to-say, by that time we were tired, hungry and pretty disgusted with the place.
So, while they sell a superior product and the salesmen are great (at least ours was), unless the dealership gets their 'back room' in better shape, be prepared for a
l-o-n-g process!

We are committed to providing high quality customer service. Based on your DealerRater review, there are a couple things that fell short for you.
The comment about wanting a 'done deal' has me a little confused - are you saying you wanted to take the car home that day and we seemed hesitant to complete the transaction? If so, that is something that seems at odds with our normal process as well and could be something we need to address.
I am pleased to hear that our staff treated you very well. I can understand your concern about the time, I often am in a rush to get things complete as well - and getting a newer vehicle can be an exciting process. We always want to ensure the accuracy of our paperwork, and sometimes that does take a little bit of time. We are continually working to evolve our processes to make them as efficient as possible. We trust that your next experience with our paperwork process will be even better.
I am glad to hear Peter presented the options to you fully for optional coverage on your vehicle. This is always an interesting area, as we are obligated to ensure our customers are aware of the coverages available to them. It may be surprising what could come up if we were not to do this step. Though, your concern on the process is something I would still like to address with our staff.
I would hope our staff would have earned all 5's, I understand all situations are different. As mentioned, we will continually strive to develop our process to ensure adequate time is taken for accuracy on paperwork, and our presentation of offerings for our customers.
If there is anything more you would like to address, please let me know - we take all of our customer comments seriously, and wish to provide only the best level of service a Honda dealership can in the Madison area.

I apologize for the delay in responding to this message. Thank you for taking the time to explain further where we fell short. I have discussed this with our management staff so as to take corrective action in the future in explaining the process for our customers. Your comments brought to light some further training we need to complete with some of our newer staff - as not all of our staff come from previous sales experience.
I can assure you that we have drivers that have very clean driving records working for us that drive your vehicle to us. Most of our drivers are retired police officers, or have done similar driving in the past. Please accept our apology for not being more clear on the process. Thank you, again, for your feedback.

After having picked up our 2013 Honda CR-V LX and having time to mentally review the process, I think I understand the hesitancy to accept our FULL CASH PAYMENT at the initial time which I described in my review previously. We were told at the initial time that the vehicle was being 'loaded on the truck' at your 'other location' for delivery to your location the following day. However, truthfully, you had to locate 'our' vehicle at another dealership (which no one indicated to us at the time.) We initially assumed it was on your lot--in fact, I thought it was the one we had test-driven--which to my understanding was identical to what we purchased! Naturally, if you had to search for 'our' preferred vehicle elsewhere, that would take time AND you would need to do so in order to get the correct VIN # to include on the final paperwork. However, no such information was relayed to us at the time, so we could only think your business offices were unreasonably slow. I only found out about WHERE you got our vehicle at the time we picked it up and I questioned the amount of mileage on the odometer and the sales man then said our vehicle was DRIVEN to your lot from Illinois! What happened to the truck it was supposed to be arriving on? If we had known initially about where and how this vehicle was being brought to your location, we might have been more understanding of the overnight delay your staff initially requested. As it is now, I'm just upset that over 100 miles were put on 'our' vehicle (after we paid for it) before we ever received it!

We received a follow-up call from the Sales Manager (Eric?) and he promised us our first oil change would be 'free' and we also could get a 'free' car wash anytime we wanted to stop in as some compensation for our being upset with the sales process. Of course, we don't have anything in writing, so how will the staff know we have these 'free' services coming? I didn't think (at the time) to request a written confirmation of his promise...I would appreciate one now. Thanks!
