Mel Hambelton Ford truly went above and beyond for my family. My wife, Shelley, had her heart set on a 2026 Ford Expedition Platinum MAX in the new Marsh Gray color, and she was not willing to settle family. My wife, Shelley, had her heart set on a 2026 Ford Expedition Platinum MAX in the new Marsh Gray color, and she was not willing to settle for anything else. Phil Nightingale, the General Manager, spent days making calls and searching until he located one in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Getting it to Wichita was not easy. The dealership had to give up a vehicle that was actually more expensive in order to complete the trade, but Phil made it happen so Brian Sladek could take care of longtime customers and friends who meant a great deal to him. Brian then worked tirelessly right before the Fourth of July holiday to find a driver, send the trade vehicle to Colorado, and bring Shelley’s Expedition back to Wichita. To make the experience even more special, Brian surprised Shelley by driving the new Expedition to the restaurant where we were having dinner. She thought it would still be weeks before the vehicle arrived. Seeing her reaction was a moment our family will never forget. I have purchased several vehicles from Brian over the years for myself and family members, and he has always treated us like VIPs. The service department is equally impressive. On multiple occasions, they have driven to our home in Valley Center, picked up my wife’s vehicle for service, and returned it afterward because of our busy family schedule. What Phil, Brian, and the entire Mel Hambelton Ford team did for us was far beyond anything I have ever experienced from a dealership. They do not just sell vehicles—they help make people’s dreams a reality. Phil Nightingale and Brian Sladek are absolute rock stars and truly the best in the business. Back 2013 bought a Roush Mustang and couldn’t be more proud of the sales people, but now OH MY God these xxx employees!!! First off called about a vehicle bc was just such a great deal, they assured me i proud of the sales people, but now OH MY God these xxx employees!!! First off called about a vehicle bc was just such a great deal, they assured me it was right price, called few days later to be completely sure before I drive 3 hrs to buy the truck, again “Oh yes that’s the price!!” I’m like are you 100%? Bc it should be 10-12k higher then priced… even pointed out the reason why it should be higher… but Lenny advised me most definitely the correct price… so I drive 3hrs one way to arrive to a xxxx show, just as I tried to avoid… oh I’m sorry this truck is 12k higher, brought in the shady mgr to give some xx about their web designer caused the issue… yeah bc they price the vehicles on your sight!! xx!!! Even though 2 phone calls before I told them I think it’s wrong before driving across the whole state!! But 3hr drive home just fuming trying to keep the old school in me under control and not go to jail for these crooks!! Avoid this CROOKED xxx dealership and employees!!! More
