I paid for my car to be ceramic coated when purchased ($550) which requires being left inside for 12-24 hours before being driven for it to cure properly. My car was supposed to be ready for pickup at 9A ($550) which requires being left inside for 12-24 hours before being driven for it to cure properly. My car was supposed to be ready for pickup at 9AM on a Saturday morning and it was not ready until about 10:30. This was agreed upon the Wednesday before. When going over the car during delivery, myself and the salesman noted there were a lot of swirls and dirty spots all over the car. Looked like cheap spray wax was used. The interior was still dirty. He sent it back to the detailing department and the car was returned within minutes in the same condition. Service department never put an inspection sticker on either. The low oil level light came on when leaving. I had to add over 2 qts of oil to get it to read on the dipstick. There is sticker on the windshield that shows it was just changed by them before the car was sold. The low tire pressure warning came on. The tires were just replaced by them before the car was sold..I asked for my money back for the ceramic coating but the General Manager said he will not do it. He said I could return for an oil change and they could re-do the ceramic coating but it would take a couple hours (this service does not take 2 hours if done properly). The car was not prepared the day before like I was told it would be and it’s obvious the car was never ceramic coated. I do not trust their workmanship after this experience. I told him I’d get my own oil change done and have the also pay for my own inspection elsewhere, just refund the ceramic coating cost, but he still refused. To be fair, the salesman I had was great. But everyone else who supports him in prepping and delivering the vehicle dropped the ball. There are some good car dealerships out there, but Key Hyundai is not one of them. They’re exactly like all the other greedy dishonest dealerships you’ve heard about. More

Based on my past experiences of car shopping, it was quite refreshing to work with Key Hyundai of Salem. I met with several individuals at Key Hyundai, and each one was a pleasure to deal with. Everyone was extremely personable, helpful, courteous, and very knowledgeable of the Tucson I wanted to purchase. They also respected my time and I did not feel pressured at all. I would like to give a shout out to Armando, David, Rafaelito, Christian, and James. You made this the best car buying experience ever. I have already told all my friends to go to Key Hyundai of Salem for a vehicle and/or maintenance. Keep up the good work. And the snacks were great also. :) More

The only downside we experienced during the buying process was outside of these folks control. It is surrounding is the difficulty and lack of clarity for our qualifying for the Hyundai Loyalty incentives after having turned in a Hyundai lease, owning another Hyundai and now purchasing a new Hyundai. Recognizing these facts, it seems very clear that we’re loyal to the Hyundai brand, but still we didn’t qualify for exactly what we are proving to be: Hyundai loyal. This led to an inability for us to qualify for a $1500 incentive that we should have received. Instead, we negotiated and received weather tech floor mats, which are awesome, but we’re still missing out on over $1k in savings that we should have realized with our purchase of a $50k+ purchase of a 2024 Palisade. You need to reward your loyal customers to retain them!! More

Poor customer service in sales - dealership did not handle auto loan well at all. We tried to use our Bank of America-issued loan, but manager David Flowers refused to use our loan paperwork and tried handle auto loan well at all. This slowed down our buying process and we ended up waiting in the dealership for over 4 hours in one day. Also, although we stated while buying the car that we needed it by a certain date, the dealership did not make an effort to expedite our purchase and did not contact us with an ETA of when the car would be ready (we had to call them instead). More
