Everyone was helpful and over the top wanting me to be comfortable buying from them. I happened to find the best deal in town and I had been shopping for days. I'll be honest and say I hadn't heard about Auto City until I saw a license plate card with their name on it and decided to give them a try. Best car buying decision I've ever made. Freindly...but...insped the car thoroughly. The staff was really friendly. Alfred was great to work with. They let us test drive the vehicle without accompanying us and we had it for like an h The staff was really friendly. Alfred was great to work with. They let us test drive the vehicle without accompanying us and we had it for like an hour. It allowed us to really get to know it and see if it was something the wife could drive. We decided to purchase it. I was showing it off to friends and we found some overspray from a paint job. This work was not on the Carfax nor did they disclose that any work had been done. I called to ask about it and, after they did look into it, told me they had it done to cover up chips in the paint from rocks and such over the 4 years of life. That's fine and all, but why not disclose that to me up front? That shot my trust with them. I then had spend a morning taking it to a body shop to make sure that the vehicle wasn't in an accident. After a thorough inspection by the shop manager and me crawling under the vehicle as well to double check, we determined that it was indeed just a cosmetic paint job. The body shop manager also said that the work was good. So. I do recommend the place. Maybe ask them if they have done any work on it since receiving it. I don't think anyone was being dishonest, and maybe Al didn't know it was painted prior to hitting the lot since he's just a salesman. But, really take your time to inspect the vehicle so you can be sure something isn't amiss. Every time I called, the person who answered the phone was friendly and offered to help if whomever I was calling for was not available. In the end, I would likely go back if the price for the vehicle I was looking for is right (and as long as what we purchased doesn't end up being a lemon...but that's unlikely). More
