I can not believe the difference between the Downtown vw store and City Volkswagen of Chicago store. City VW made me feel so welcomed were downtown Volkswagen seemed like they didn't want to sell me a Volks store and City Volkswagen of Chicago store. Ray Cotta was the salesman. I was told that there is a federal law that I have to provide my ssn since I was financing through my own bank. Not through them. When I questioned t I was told that there is a federal law that I have to provide my ssn since I was financing through my own bank. Not through them. When I questioned them on that law, Ray became enraged, yelling that they need to make sure I'm not a terrorist, pounding his hand on the desk. Borderline harassment on how many texts and calls I got while I waited for my approval from my bank. They tried to hide the damage on the car from me. When Ray was yelling, I felt unsafe and uncomfortable. Then the manager told him that I didn't need to if I'm paying with a check from my bank. He said he worked there for 11 years, so I don't believe that he didn't know he was lying about a federal law to obtain my ssn. On my 1st visit, a woman named Maria claimed to be the sales manager. I don't see any employee listed on their site with her name as a manager. So there's another lie. They are very manipulative. Save yourself the risk of giving them your ssn security and shop elsewhere. More
