Hi, my name is Rex Tonan. I was born in California and lived in the west until my wife and I transferred to Northern Kentucky for work in 1998. I have 2 beautiful daughters that I love to spend time with and am very proud of. Having 3 wonderful women in my life has taught me a lot about the way customers like to be treated. I treat each customer like they are my family because that is how I would want someone to treat my girls. In my personal life, I do a lot of mentoring and volunteering with children in my church, Crittenden Baptist. I believe that Tom Gill has been a great fit for me in my work life because I think that personal accountability, having a great sense of humor and showing good character are a way of life and a choice I make every morning when I come to work. Car for my Father I have purchased numerous vehicles from this dealership. What keeps me coming back is the honesty and integrity of my service adviser, Rex Tonan. I have purchased numerous vehicles from this dealership. What keeps me coming back is the honesty and integrity of my service adviser, Rex Tonan. On this visit, I was looking for a replacement vehicle for my senior citizen father. I knew, from previous experience, that once I purchased a vehicle, Rex and the Service department would make sure the car was dependable for my dad. I usually dread the "car buying experience" at any dealership, but this trip was different. After a little confusion on what we were looking for, Edison and his manager found the perfect car for us, at a great price. It was great to see the price up front. They give you a free car fax and the prices are extremely fair. They gave me a very fair price for my trade in and even topped off the gas tank on the way out the door. End to end, the buying experience was low pressure. Besides the service, what really brings me back to Tom Gill is the incentives. The free oil changes and tire rotations and the life time power train warranty gives me peace of mind knowing my dad will be driving this car. The only negative was the time it took to close the deal, but it was around closing time on a Saturday, so I am sure they were busy. The finance guy was a bit pushy on the warranties (which we did not buy), but I guess that is his job. Overall, Edison was great to work with and the Honest Service is what keeps me coming back. More

Horrible Customer Service After purchasing a new Equinox from Tom Gill we were told that with the "Tom Gill Advantage" we were to receive our first 4 oil changes at no cost. Wh After purchasing a new Equinox from Tom Gill we were told that with the "Tom Gill Advantage" we were to receive our first 4 oil changes at no cost. When we took the vehicle in for our 4th service we had reached 26k miles. We were told that they would not honor the 4th maintenance because we were over 24k miles. We explained to them that our first time trying to get in for our 6k service we had to wait over a week for an appointment and in that time we went over 7k miles due to a planned trip. This first service then set our proceeding services back. We were told we would have to pay $130 for an oil change in lieu of the free one we were owed. I spoke to a service manager and after several minutes of conversation was eventually laughed at and when I then lost my temper was hung up on. I would NEVER recommend Tom Gill Chevrolet to anyone after this experience. I was lied to by a sales person when I bought the vehicle and then not given any respect by the service department. More
