Bob Alvine is the President and General Manager of Premier Subaru. Bob started the business in August, 2000 with the desire to create a Subaru dealership that would consistently exceed the expectations of customers. Bob also wanted a company that was active and invested in the community in which it serves. Bob is a graduate in Finance from the University of Rhode Island (and a Rhody Basketball Fan) and has a MBA from the University of New Haven. Bob started his career in the banking industry and worked in various positions in Commercial Lending and Finance. Bob is active with the University of Rhode Island Alumni Association, The University of New Haven, the Branford Chamber of Commerce (Board Member), the Amity Club of New Haven and other community organizations. Recently, Bob was named to the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of Connecticut.

He made our experience simply pleasurable which is not an easy feat for our least favorite task of buying a new car. We fully endorse the Premier Subaru dealership which has hired and trained excellent employees and this will be the fourth Subaru car that we have purchased from the dealership. A recent car accident allowing my husband to survive with serious injuries is a testament to the quality and life safety engineering behind the Subaru. We are huge fans. More

Very happy I have several things to tell you about Premier! This is my first Subaru purchased at Premier and I believe it won't' be my last!! Luke Pannone was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and easy to talk to. He made the deal work for me, it was a pleasant experience!! A few weeks after the purchase I was invited to a new car owner clinic, NEVER have I ever been invited to a clinic at ANY dealership. I attended it, Gary (service manager) was very informative, very kind and patient and we learned alot. Gary and his team are there for you! We also met Bob ALvine the owner, very nice down to earth gentleman. He's very proud of his dealerships and his employee and very happy to have us has customers. It was a pleasure to meet him! Just one more thing,. During the clinic I mentioned that I couldn't get the Home Link connected to my garage remote, Joe Zerbor(Subaru car Connect) took the time to come to my home and fix it. Joe is a very pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable ! I couldn't be happier with the entire Premier experience! Thank you!! More

Promotion made us make an uninformed decision Our experience purchasing our 2017 Outback was tarnished when after the purchase we realized that features we had on our 2015 Outback were not include Our experience purchasing our 2017 Outback was tarnished when after the purchase we realized that features we had on our 2015 Outback were not included in the 2017 Outback. The electric rear door closure and navigation that were included on our 2015 Outback were not included on the 2017 model. Shame on us for not realizing this at the time of purchase but we made the assumption that since Premier sold us the 2015 and had the Vin number that we would have been alerted that these options were not included on the 2017 model. Since the deal had to be made that day I feel we were not told the difference between what we had and what we were about to purchase. Lesson learned don't rush into making a decision. More

Bill and Karen My wife and I have bought eight Subaru cars from Premier over the years and we are contemplating a ninth.(Several WRXs,several FORESTE Bill and Karen My wife and I have bought eight Subaru cars from Premier over the years and we are contemplating a ninth.(Several WRXs,several FORESTERs, and one STi). Our loyalty to the dealership is both practical and personal:practical because Subaru vehicles are sturdy ,reliable, and durable( I got 240,000 miles on my STi over a ten year period with the original engine and clutch); and personal because the staff-sales, service and Bob Alvine in particular -has been helpful, friendly, reliable ,available and knowledgeable.We have worked with Barbara Mullen, Gary Christiansen, Robert Burgess, Johnny Rodriguez and Bob Alvine over the years and more recently with Brian Laguessa, Ted AStarita, Dale Messinger, and Jason Jarkes. Bob Alvine was very helpful when he helped my wife through the stressful circumstances when her Forester was totaled- while parked -by a runaway vehicle.There is nothing "slick" about this dealership. It is 'First Class' all the way. I believe that the persistent class of the Dealership is a reflection of Bob Alvine's judgment and commitment to high standards of quality and engagement with his customers. More
