The price that you have advertised on/for the 2023 Honda Ridgeline is not your actual "asking" price. You place another $3700+ onto that original value with dealer-added, high profit items that a buyer does Ridgeline is not your actual "asking" price. You place another $3700+ onto that original value with dealer-added, high profit items that a buyer does/may not want/need and expect the customer to pay for them. We were, at first, surprised by the "add-ons" and then disappointed that the manager would not remove those charges. Another issue was Jimmy telling us that the dealership only had the vehicle in its possession since June 28, when it clearly has been advertised online for several weeks and the Carfax shows May 28 as the date it was offered for sale. Given Jimmy's comment regarding dealer possession, he lost any credibility in his statement that he had 2 other showings of that vehicle for that same day. And WHAT!?!?! Charging $1200 extra because we weren't going to finance through the dealers!! We were going to pay cash!! Since when is it more expensive to pay cash versus dealing with filling out finance papers (time spent by one of your employees and the customer), filing those papers, and verifying a customer's credit worthiness! Ridiculous! It was at that point that we realized any further time spent with Jimmy could/may not provide reliable information or a satisfactory conclusion to the negotiations, from our point of view. More
