The Little Things In December, we worked with Randy and Ron and had no issues with them in buying our used Trax, but was surprised that after detailing our car and gett In December, we worked with Randy and Ron and had no issues with them in buying our used Trax, but was surprised that after detailing our car and getting handed the keys, it only had a 1/2 tank of gas. My wife and I wouldn't have survived 15 years of marriage without doing things for one another that shouldn't need to be asked. It's a no-brainer to fill a tank with gas after a customer writes you a check for $15,000. Our Trax had two rock chips and a door dent, which they said they'd take care of later. After 2+ months, they finally were able to schedule an appointment with me. It's a 1.5-hour round-trip drive to take care of repairs that (in my opinion) should have been done before the car was put on the lot for sale. I needed to get to a work appointment, so Deery provided a loaner at no price, but had me sign a disclaimer that I'd return it with an equivalent fuel level or my credit card would be charged. Ironic how that works - pay $15K and get shorted $15 in gas, but better make sure the loaner car's fuel level is the same as when I picked it up. Those little things... We're in the market for a second car, and my wife saw a Ford C-Max at Brad Deery with a very reasonable price that I had intended on test driving. It might seem silly to some, but those "little things" of taking car of a customer - like filling up a tank with gas before handing off the keys or fixing a door dent before putting a price tag on it - are the reason we'll look at other dealerships for our next car. That measly $5 I put in the loaner car cost Deery future business. More
