I am generally a car dealership skeptic on matters of vehicle service. I brought my Jeep Wrangler Sport to Garavel CDJR for a Transmission Service Notification Light accompanied by a noticeable loss of vehicle service. I brought my Jeep Wrangler Sport to Garavel CDJR for a Transmission Service Notification Light accompanied by a noticeable loss of torque or pick up in all the lower gears. The Service Dept Advisor, Ronnie Goss provided me with direct and honest information. When I retrieved my vehicle he and the mechanic who serviced the transmission patiently listened to my narrative and concerns over the recent loss of torque in most gears, and explained why that had happened. Mr. Goss gave me a week to drive my Wrangler and come back if needed under the service performed. I told him I would know for sure when next driving on the Merritt Parkway, where the lack of torque and pick up had made passing other vehicles impossible. I drove the Merritt Parkway home and the Wrangler has its old torque in all gears, even has some bit of hill climbing power in 5th gear on the slopes of High Ridge Road as you approach Pound Ridge. Finally, Mr. Goss called me that afternoon to inquire about whether I had felt the car had its customary power again. He also quoted me a very reasonable ballpark quote for a repair to the Wobble that many Jeeps get when hitting highway pavement seams or potholes. I will be taking my Wrangler back to Garavel CDJR for that service soon. And I am no longer cynical about having my vehicle serviced at a dealership.
