Bought a used 2019 Avalon Limited with 95k miles on 09/08/2025 in an as-is transaction, which turned out to be one of my worst choice among 10+ car buying experience. 2 weeks later, took the car for di 09/08/2025 in an as-is transaction, which turned out to be one of my worst choice among 10+ car buying experience. 2 weeks later, took the car for diagnostic for high-pitched noise during acceleration and was told AT transmission going bad. Repair estimate exceeds $7000! I tried to work it out with Toyota of Rockwall by suggesting the dealership allow me to pay for part only (still over $4400). They wouldn't budge more than 'employee price' of $6000. Very disappointed with their mindset given all circumstances. I can't speak for brand new cars, but I would never recommend this dealer when it comes to used car purchase unless you're willing to pay extra $4000+ for extended warranty. The only person who I appreciate despite this agony is Mick of service dept. More
