My boyfriend was trying to explain to me how much of a “game” it is, so the overall experience was feeling a bit overwhelming. We drove all the way down (we live in NYC) to the DCH Kay Honda dealership in Eatontown, NJ to check out a Certified Pre-Owned Honda Pilot 2013, Touring edition. Scott Wendling was our sales consultant and he did not disappoint! He was very straight-to-the-point, easy-going, genuine, and didn’t waste time with awkward small talk (some people really like small talk for some reason, ha). Anyway, he made the process so easy, giving us ample time (we got there at 9:15a and didn’t make a decision until 12:30p) to mull it over, especially since there were other interested buyers that wanted to come that day (someone even tried even put a deposit down to reserve the car). The car itself was priced pretty competitively compared to Kelley’s Bluebook. The final price after all the taxes and fees was still less than market-value, so we felt confident that we were getting an awesome deal. No “games” or pressure to buy at all. I’d have to say, Scott made the long commute worth it! More
