Van Bortel Ford lives into their word Purchasing a brand new car is a rear event in my life so I chose Van Bortel Ford because I trust Kitty who stands upon her word. Normally I buy a ligh Purchasing a brand new car is a rear event in my life so I chose Van Bortel Ford because I trust Kitty who stands upon her word. Normally I buy a lightly used car and drive it for 6 or so years. You could imagin my excitement to purchase my brand new 2014 Escape. Excitment quickly turned to dismay after I soon discovered there was a water leak from the windshield, saturating a portion of the driver side headliner. Van Bortel service finally fixed the water leak problem after several attempts. Personally, I always dispised a headliner with those ugly water stains, and now I own a car that will have a long running ugly water stain. Van Bortel promised to stand with me to either clean the headliner or even replace it if the water stain persists. Recently I brought my Escape in to have the water stain treated again or have the headliner replaced. Also the leather seat devoloped a series of cracks that I definately was not happy about, so I also brought the seat to their attention. Service again washed the headliner plus Ford, Van Bortel, and I split the cost of the new leather seat covering to replace the cracked one.
