Disappointing.
Went in for an oil change which was fairly quick. Requested at check in to check on the backup camera not working and was told it would be checked.

After paying the invoice and starting the truck, the back up camera was not working. Went back inside and asked a different rep about it and was told I needed to take it to diagnostics. I had no time to do that. Drove home and decided to reboot computer by disconnecting battery, which worked. While doing this I found oil marks on front fender and driver door. Thought the experience could have been better.

It is incredibly frustrating to be told your backup camera would be checked at drop-off, only to be redirected to a separate diagnostic appointment after you’ve already paid. We apologize for that communication gap—though we have to say, great job on rebooting the computer yourself to get it working! Furthermore, leaving oil marks on your front fender and driver door is absolutely unacceptable. Your truck should have been wiped down and returned to you clean.
We have searched our recent service logs and cannot find a record of this visit in our system under your display name. We want to learn more about your experience so we can properly address this lack of care with our team. Could you please contact our Service Manager, Dustin Davis, at 513-782-2800? After making an appointment for an engine light I was
told, when I arrived, after rescheduling my entire day, that they would need the vehicle for 24-48 hours.

They refused a loaner in this situation. Our car is a purchase, less than six months on the road, and fewer than 2,300 miles.
The four employees who were in the bay when we pulled in ignored us for a while. No hello, no I'll be right with you, no welcome at all. It felt as though they were actively avoiding eye contact.
As I was removing the debris they put in my vehicle during our extremely short conversation the young man, who failed to assist us in any way, was rude AF.
I cannot speak to the efficacy of their repairs as they seem overwhelmed with Chevrolet mechanical issues. Possibly a sign of the manufacture's commitment to mediocrity.
I suggest you avoid this dealership, they have nearly zero understanding of customer service or even common courtesy.

My first time I had a problem with my used Equinox was

When I got it to the dealership to replace the tire, I informed the service department about the worn sleeve. In a few minutes, I was handed an estimate in excess of $1000 for completely new shocks. I immediately called xxxxxxxx and called up the how-to repair videos I had viewed on youtube that had a half dozen videos showing how to do this repair yourself as well as being performed by professional mechanics. Faced with some facts, the repair was suddenly covered by warranty. To be honest, I no longer really trust the service department. It feels like an attempt to take advantage of me as a customer. If there wasn't a limited lifetime warranty on the engine and drive train I wouldn't be using them. I am not expecting any type of change from this service department as a result of this review, beyond a few sentences from the manager about "I am concerned about your review" I would love to be proven wrong. I hate having a poor relationship with a dealership that I must use to maintain my warranty. As it stands, the likelihood of me purchasing another vehicle from any Jake Sweeney is slim to none.
