On the road again I went for an inspection on my versa knowing It would fail emissions and that substantial reinvestment was require. Don't pay extra for "Certified Pre Owned"! Stay away from Certified Pre Owned! I purchased a Certified Pre Owned, 2015 Nissan Murano, on 10/30/2018. I have not purchased a used vehicle since Stay away from Certified Pre Owned! I purchased a Certified Pre Owned, 2015 Nissan Murano, on 10/30/2018. I have not purchased a used vehicle since 1973, except for a 2003, low mileage 350Z (Sunday driver). I say this so as to not look too ignorant when it comes to purchasing a vehicle. This 2015 Murano (according to Carfax) was a one owner, with 11,998 miles and no red flags. It seemed like buying a new car at 35% off. Well, I got too enthralled and didn't even check out the tires, to my chagrin. Several days later when washing my wife's "new vehicle" I see that the tires aren't in very good shape. So I check the tread depth, front at 2/32 to 3/32 of an inch and the rears at almost 4/32 of an inch. I call Cochran and I'm told that the technician who inspected the vehicle had rated all 4 tires at 4/32 of an inch. Now mind you, if they are at 2/32 this vehicle could not have passed a Pa. State Inspection and if they are at 3/32 I will not be driving on them. Unsafe in my opinion! Even at 4/32, I wouldn't have thought that Nissan would have let Cochran verify this vehicle as Certified Pre Owned. So much for Certified Pre Owned, and to think that we as consumers pay extra for this certification. I wish I had bought non certified and used the money to buy a set of new tires. My wife isn't driving the vehicle until the new tires are installed, which will be after the WV State Inspection (wanting to see if it will pass with the tires that are on it) I will update this review with any new information as it surfaces. More
