My Crown Hyundai Genesis experience Although my 2014 Equus came off lease on Sept 12, Crown worked with me to extend the lease until I could see and drive a Genesis G90 before I made the Although my 2014 Equus came off lease on Sept 12, Crown worked with me to extend the lease until I could see and drive a Genesis G90 before I made the decision to lease the new model. After many delivery delays they finally promised me the first one would be delivered to their dealership the week of Nov 12. Meanwhile I had been able to see and drive one at another dealership in New Port Richey. Satisfied that it was the car I wanted we began making preparations to turn in my Equus and take delivery on the G90. Fortunately, the one being delivered to Crown was the exact model and color we desired. On Thursday Nov 10 I went to the dealer to discuss the terms of the lease. Since I was satisfied with the deal I turned in my Equus and drove a loaner G80 home expecting to keep it several days until our car arrived and was ready for delivery. Shortly after returning home I received a call that our car was in and I could pick it up the next day, which we did. All in all, a very pleasant experience. Many thanks to Crown Hyundai for their great support. More

20 Year German Auto Owner, Hyundai Convert! I'm still amazed I am a Hyundai owner after being a loyal German Car owner for nearly 20 years! I had never heard of Azera before walking into a Hyun I'm still amazed I am a Hyundai owner after being a loyal German Car owner for nearly 20 years! I had never heard of Azera before walking into a Hyundai dealership with the intent of purchasing a used Genesis. The new Genesis seemed a bit too large for me, and I was asked if I had ever thought about an Azera... "A what??" I asked! Did the test drive and absolutely could not believe I had never known this car existed. I had been in the used car market for another Mercedes or even a Lexus or Avalon, then the salesperson told me about the reimbursement money toward a new purchase. After much research, and I mean "much" research, by both me and my husband we decided a lease may be the way to go. I did not purchase from the original Hyundai dealership that introduced me to the car, because I did not like the way they presented the purchase numbers, and pressure used without adequately answering questions. In fact, when I asked them for the consumer breakdown on the lease information I was told it was proprietary, which is not only insulting but absolute "Hogwash" as I completely understand consumer rights and protection policies. This experience almost sent me back to the used car dealership, but I decided to "price shop" other Hyundai Dealerships to see if their "culture" of customer purchase experience was the same or different. After running the same car purchase past 3 other Hyundai Dealers, it was Crown Hyundai, who was the most professional in their approach to adequately fulfilling my purchase expectations. My salesman was Steve Bednar, and in all honesty I was a bit of a "ill-attitude customer" the morning I walked in for my appointment. He successfully navigated my "emotional blahs" regarding the purchase. My past 30 years of career experience has involved training Professional Sales Teams on the Consultative Selling Model, Delivering Complete, Long -Term Relational Follow up Sales and Exceeding Expectations. So, I was completely sure that this was not going to happen, since none of the other 3 dealerships had proven such. I laid out my list of how, when, why and under what circumstances I was going to "work a deal." Steve Bednar's years of customer relations proved to be the "right fit!" His willingness to stay in touch after this visit through phone contact that was just right with "timing" intervals made me feel as if I was really a live person, and not a technical number. The fact that he actually followed through and sent everything regarding the lease in writing to me after my first visit, which detailed the numbers as I had requested, really sealed the relationship and my decision to quit investigating other options. It's very simple to quit playing a game with customers and just treat them as if they might actually understand something about a car purchase, which is what Steve and his Crown Manager, Ken Feck, are very successful at accomplishing. My husband would not even show up until the day we went to pick up the car, and I also add that they met my request regarding the date of pick up. Again, I am a bit of an unusual buyer, totally too many things going on in my life and the purchase of a new car was not something that I really wanted to do. I was thrust into this situation because of the VW buyout that was going to be happening in Oct and my husband wanted me to go ahead an get a car prior to this occurring. Steve did not act like I was "strange, or losing my marbles" because I did not fit the "new car buyer" mold. In fact, his sense of "dry humour" was what got me through the purchase. The actual day of delivery had me a bit concerned because it was the first time my husband had been in the dealership, and I did not want to be embarrassed by his "chip on the shoulder" about new car purchase, which when he first met Steve he wasted no time telling him he would "rather be getting "dental work performed"! However, Steve was able to have him thoroughly enjoying the experience and even set up our first service appointment before we left. We even had a "glitch" with a tag misunderstanding that the dealership quickly resolved to satisfy us without making us feel it was our fault. We met Leslie in the business department, whom, is also a great person to work with and asset to Crown! Ryan Murray in Service Dept. actually made us feel like it would be a great experience to spend Sat morning at 8:00 am with him getting the car serviced, so my husband made our first appointment! It is a good business to still have a salesperson our peer age that we were able to share some like-kind experiences with. Steve stayed 2.5 hours past his normal schedule just to go over everything on the car. I will definitely recommend Steve and the Crown Experience to any person looking to purchase. Steve is also going to help my husband with a truck purchase in the near future. Smooth, easy experience. Steve Bednar sales person was FANTA STIC. Very detailed with options of the vehicle we purchased. Not your typical salesman. No pressure.
