Born and raised just outside of Pittsburgh, Pa. My wife, Kristen and I moved out to AZ over 11 years ago and together we have a beautiful little girl, Aislyn. When not at work, I like watching my hometown Steelers and Penguin games, or a quiet night at home with my family. I also enjoy taking my family on outdoor adventures (hiking, fishing, and camping) enjoying our beautiful, sunny state in either of our Subarus. I also enjoy taking my daughter to her favorite spots (the Zoo, Odysea, etc.) I have been in the Auto industry for over 10 years, and have been with Subaru for the past 9. It’s a brand I love and believe in and find it easy to stand behind(I own two myself!) I take pride in providing a GREAT customer experience helping to get them into the car they want! This is our second car purchase from Subaru Superstore of Chandler and I must say, from our Service experience with Angela, to our car purchase experience with Tom Darby, James Cloer and Mark Dicino, this process was nothing short of exceptional. Tom, without a doubt, is the friendliest, most knowledgeable, no pressure car sales associate that me and my wife have ever dealt with. Folks, he knows his stuff when it comes to the Subaru product. From the time me and my wife met Tom, we knew right away that we were about to experience buying a car like we've never experienced. With Tom's laid back, non-pushy, honest, friendly demeanor, we felt completely comfortable and at ease during our new car purchase. Right away Tom was understanding of our needs and took us in the direction of our new Outback. Sales Manager James Cloer was equally as friendly, honest, knowledgeable, and absolutely put zero pressure on the customer. We then made our way to the finance office and met with Mark Dicino, a very friendly, honest and caring staff member that made this part of our car purchase a breeze. He was very understanding with our situation as we were in the middle of moving our daughter to Colorado and then to get evacuated from our home due to the Woodbury Fire. When we returned from Colorado we set up a delivery time and date. They were very accommodating to our wishes. We did everything remote and then finalized everything when we picked up our Legacy. Great Experience As many of the other reviews say working with Darby was a no pressure experience. I was looking for a Forester with some specific options and he foun As many of the other reviews say working with Darby was a no pressure experience. I was looking for a Forester with some specific options and he found one that was just delivered to the dealership. While I couldn’t test drive until the prepped. Darby brought it up front and showed it to me to inspect. Darby found a similar one for me to test drive. Darby explained the different systems and answered all my questions. He is very knowledgeable on the vehicles he sells. Some sales representatives are not. While the process to purchase the vehicle took a little longer then normal due to it needing to be prepped, Darby kept following up on its progressed and kept me informed. I would recommend Darby to anyone interested in purchasing a Subaru. More
