Continuous Problems Bought a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder on 9/16. Jeff Griffin was my salesman. While test driving I was notified that tire was low on air. When we returned I poped the hood and battery cables were all corroded, Jeff offered to replace or clean them. Jeff offered the extended warranty for $2500 which was 4 yr or 150k miles. I went to lunch so they could do battery cables. When I returned I was told tire was low from sitting and battery cables just needed to be cleaned. While signing paperwork I was informed the warranty was on 4yr or 100k miles, they made a mistake. I still purchased car because I'm a logical person and understood the mistakes. 9/17 I went to get into car to run errands and was notified same tire was low and now the key fobs didn't work. 9/18 went to go to work and tire was low again. On my way to work the car made a growling noise, thinking this was a bad wheel bearing I called Jeff. He was very apologetic and told.me to bring car back and they would look at it. While looking at wheel bearing I noticed a nail in side wall of tire. Sat at Kearns service department for 2 hrs before Jeff apologized and got me a rental and on my way. 9/23 Kearns called to tell me the car was ready. Went to pick it up and was told that the transfer case was making noise so they replaced it and they put 4 new tires on it because of the nail. Okay, xxxx happens, I get it and Kearns was more than accomadating and fixed their problems. They still needed to fix the key fobs and offered to pick my car up from work, bring car to Kearns fix key fobs and return my car. Awesome, right? Kearns picked my car up on Monday 10/2 and returned my car on Wed 10/4. Brian even said he had a recall fixed for me while they had the car. I went to put my stuff in my car and when I approached it noticed that there were scratches, dings and dents all along driver side. I stopped the Kearns employee and showed him everything. He even said those were not there when he picked the car up on Monday. Passenger side bumper was also broke, mirror scratched and more scratches along passenger side. Employee took pics and said he would have his boss call me when he returned. After waiting 2 hrs I called Kearns and spoke to Brian in service. Brian was shocked and asked me to talk to Jeff and transferred me. Tim answered the call and was very short and angry with me. He refused to offer to correct the scratches till he saw the car. I told him I would be there at 5 and Tim told me he didn't have time to deal with me tonight. My husband called Tim and worked it out to bring car to Kearns on Thursday 10/5. When we arrived we got Tim and showed him the damage. The conversation turned into a he said she said argument. Tim also mentioned the car got sent to Madison for the keys and I needed to prove the damage didn't happen there. After arguing for 30+ minutes Tim offered to have his body guy fix it on Wed 10/11. I dropped the car off 10/10 and Kearns gave me a rental for free. I picked my car up on 10/11, while looking it over it was obvious that Kearns did not attempt to repair any of the scratches, dings or broken bumper as they were exactly as they were when I dropped the car off. After spending $20,000 on a car I wouldn't expect to have any of these problems. Kearns was willing to correct them and I gave them 3 chances with no positive result. I will never visit Kearns again for another car or recommended them to any family or friends. This was first experience buying a car from a dealership, I should've had a better experience than buying from Craigslist. More

Great Experience My son and I identified a used car online. We drove up from the northern suburbs of Chicago and were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. Unlike other dealers. I went to Kearns to buy a truck I saw online, I showed up and was met by Jeff, I soon found out Jeff had just started selling cars. He was great and n I went to Kearns to buy a truck I saw online, I showed up and was met by Jeff, I soon found out Jeff had just started selling cars. He was great and not pushy like most salesmen. We didn't waste any time, I came to by this certain truck and we went inside to discuss numbers. While inside we were treated very well. I had my 2 year old and 2 month old sons with me and the salesmen sitting next to us gave them cookies and cars to play with. After about 2 hours we were unable to come together on a payment that would meet our needs, but this was not for lack of effort by the Kearns staff, they tried all kinds of different routes to make it work for us. Reluctantly we left and my wife and I talked about the truck for the next day and a half. Monday morning I went to my credit union and was able to get the payments to where we needed them. By that afternoon I was driving the truck home and even though we did not finance through Kearns they still treated us great!! We will be back for sure! More

Laid back and friendly Jacob was awesome! I honestly cannot say enough good things about him. Super friendly and didn't try selling me a car...he let the car sell itself:) Jacob was awesome! More remarkably, he went the extra mile even after I signed the papers. I never thought I'd be driving as nice of a car as I am and am so very thankful I found Kearns! I will most definitely be bragging about my experience at Kearns. Thank you to everyone there that helped make my experience such a pleasure. More

He is a wonderful guy and great person to work with. He wasn't the typical "pushy salesman". He was extremely polite and respectful of my time. Not once did I ever feel pressured into buying this truck. He had answer for all of the questions I had, he's a very knowledgeable person. I would highly recommend Jeff to anyone if you're looking for great service. I also really appreciated the manager who came over and personally thanked me for my business. I will certainly be back! DO NOT BUY HERE!!!! #Dishonest #Lies I purchased a 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat from here and was informed the car included a 3 year warranty. When I talked with Kearns about this c I purchased a 2016 Dodge Challenger Hellcat from here and was informed the car included a 3 year warranty. When I talked with Kearns about this car they told me it was the owners personal car and that he was selling it with only 2,500 miles. I felt the car was in good condition based on everything we discussed over the phone so I decided to purchase the car, after picking up the car I took it to my local dealership for a software update - It was after I picked up the car that my dealership called to inform me the warranty was not valid and were I to bring it back or to any other dealership in the future it would not be serviceable under warranty. After several weeks of discussions on the phone with Dodge and Kearns it turns out this was not the owners car but was actually bought at an auction. In addition, the car was originally purchased and registered in Canada and at some point the car was transferred to the US improperly. This is why the basic warranty shows up, however what you don't see is where the warranty is actually valid - dealerships don't see this until they try and file a claim against the warranty...hence, servicing the car. LIES. Long story short - my car warranty is void in the US...where I live obviously. After talking with the owner of Kearns Motor Car he fully admitted it was a mistake on their behalf as they went off of what their local Dodge dealership told them over the phone. He was not willing to honor the original warranty stated when I bought the 60k car, (it would of cost around 2k for a third party warranty according to him) and as soon as I mentioned bringing this up to the BBB he was in no way cooperative and hung up. I don't know if they were trying to pull a fast one or not but they would not let me return the car for what I originally paid nor would they honor the warranty, had I known the car's warranty was not valid I would have never purchased it! This should be an eye opener for anyone looking to purchase vehicles from here, move on to find another reputable dealership and review their feedback from several sources (Google, Yelp, Facebook, Yahoo, YouTube, etc...) to try and get a consistent perspective. More
