Originally from Eastern Washington, grew up on a farm and later as a Navy dependent. Served in the US Air Force as an accountant. Began as a service porter in Seattle WA., practiced as a warranty administrator, assistant service manager and as a service manager at two stores with the last one for fifteen years. Have three daughters and a son, with my son and youngest daughter playing sports for Prosper schools. My wife of eighteen years is also in the automotive business and works for one of our competitors.

Hello Sharon, We appreciate the feedback, after reviewing the situation there are a few things that need to be clarified. First, there is a difference between the "Maintenance required" light, and the "Engine Maintenance Required" light which we spoke about in detail during our phone conversation. The vehicle came in at 84,460 miles for maintenance, at that time the maintenance light was reset and there were no other existing lights. At 94,744 miles the vehicle came back because the "Maintenance Required" light was on. At that point you stated to the advisor that you had it serviced at another place between 84k and 94k miles. That would suggest the light was reset and a non-issue between those services. The tech notes state clearly that they verified there were no other notes and no codes stored at that time. At 98,342 miles the vehicle came in for an airbag recall. The maintenance was not performed, and therefore the light was not reset. No lights were on during the inspection, and nothing was mentioned to the advisor. At 100,381 miles, we diagnosed the "Engine Maintenance Required" light and verified it required the same repair that was covered under the Customer Support Program that extended the coverage to 100,000 miles. Based on the circumstance, our dealership applied a 20% discount. At no point is this negligence on anyone's part. It is simply an unfortunate situation that I believe we handle fairly. The nature of your multiple reviews suggests you have a very different opinion, and that is ok. Happy to help however we can, but we cannot fix cars for free.
