Thank you for taking the time to read about me! I grew up in Vermont, then moved to Clemson to attend college. After graduating I used my degree for eight years before returning to Vermont for a year. In 2005, after one more winter up north I hightailed it back to Clemson and began my career in auto sales. Five years later I moved to Georgia and started at Troncalli in August of 2010. Outside of work I enjoy golf, cycling, mountain biking, traveling, sports car racing, and anything Clemson... I initially came to Troncalli just to price-check another dealership that I was looking to buy a RAM 1500 from. I was not intending on making a purchase. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly greeted and blown away dealership that I was looking to buy a RAM 1500 from. I was not intending on making a purchase. Upon arrival, I was pleasantly greeted and blown away by the large selection of trucks on the lot and how clean and aesthetically pleasing the showroom was. I was introduced to a gentleman by the name of Tyler Grant whom I had initially spoken with on the phone and he already had the truck I was interested in parked right up front. He methodically went through all the options included on this model and then we took it for a test drive. This was the truck that I wanted from the other dealership but they didn’t have it in the color I wanted and this one had more options. It drove like a dream! Upon return to the dealership, Tyler took a few minutes to assess my trade-in (a banged-up 2017 Acura with 150k miles on it) while I poked around the truck to explore it a bit more. Then it was time to head back in for the dreadful part - negotiating price and terms. To my surprise, Tyler just asked where we needed to be at to make a deal and explored every possible loyalty, conquest, and offer. He was able to save me an extra $2000 right there for a conquest discount I didn’t even think was applicable! I didn’t initially agree with the trade-in value of my Acura but he was able to get that up by more than double even though it likely wasn’t even worth that. I told him what the other dealership was offering for an out the door price and what they offered me for the trade-in. He told me to hang tight while he talked with the manager and not 10 minutes later, came back in and said, “Congratulations, you came in on the right day!” There was no all-day negotiations - I got offered the truck in the color I was looking for and with more options than I wanted for a better price than the other dealership had offered after days of back and forth texts and phone calls… in less than 30 minutes! We took a lunch break before I went to finance to close and I shot a text to the other dealership to see if they could match - they couldn’t so I knew Tyler was giving the best deal possible. Another hour to sign the paper work and another deal struck with finance to lower the APR a bit and I was on my way home in my dream truck! Many thanks to Tyler Grant and Troncalli for exceeding my expectations and making buying a vehicle a pleasant experience instead of a typically dreadful one. Would highly recommend going here first if you’re in the market for a vehicle - I certainly will next time! More
