I brought my car in for an oil change and asked that a rear backup light be replaced. I was told that all my rear lights worked and didn't need replacement. Mr. Vang was great. He listened to my concerns and made adjustments to address them. I had to bring my Subaru ascent in three times in order I had to bring my Subaru ascent in three times in order for your mechanics to fix what they goofed up when they replaced my fuel pump on a recall . I had to bring my Subaru ascent in three times in order for your mechanics to fix what they goofed up when they replaced my fuel pump on a recall . My check engine light came on my eyesight went off and I told him initially to check that fuel pump installation. It took two more times before they figured enough to replace that gasket that was installed when they replace the impeller on my fuel pump. I live in Cambridge Minnesota and it takes me an hour one way to drive in every time. The second time I brought it in they had it from Monday until Friday I picked it up on Friday and then Saturday morning the check engine light went on again. On the third time that technician ( A different person ) finally had them checked the installation of that fuel pump and found a defective gasket. I had to cancel two fishing trips because I could not pull my boat because of the recall issue. The gas, the time and the inconvenience because of their incompetence astounds me . I had a brand new 2017 outback that I traded in for a 2018 outback and then I traded my 2018 in for the 2019 Subaru ascent so I am not a new car customer to the Subaru product. I am very dissatisfied with the service that took place. More

Could not be Happier I have had my new Outback for about one month now, during which I had heart valve replacement and a foot operation and back problems. I was unable to I have had my new Outback for about one month now, during which I had heart valve replacement and a foot operation and back problems. I was unable to get in for my orientation, but Marilyn Babcock kept contact and helped me over the hard parts on the telephone - above and beyond the call of duty. I am so grateful for her help. I will be going in shortly for my orientation. Excellent car and excellent service. Thanks More

Good service but recommend "extra" services that aren't need First off - getting a hold of the service department via the phone is next to impossible. 80% of the time you have to leave a message - and it'll tak First off - getting a hold of the service department via the phone is next to impossible. 80% of the time you have to leave a message - and it'll take 1- 2 days for them to call you back. I took my car into this dealer for the usual "high mileage" maintenance & an oil change. During the service experience, they recommended a new battery and showed me data that my battery was "bad." They informed me the cold crank amps were less than 100. Interestingly, the battery had been replaced less than 10 months prior at the Subaru dealer where I purchased my vehicle. I declined the service to have the battery replaced. When I did my service check out - it just said "bad" on the walk around inspection form and the tech didn't provide the actual reading. I called this dealer on 2 separate occasions asking for the actual data showing my battery was bad and I have yet to receive it (my service appointment was in June). Each time I called the technician that answered said they would "leave a message with your technician to call you back because the information isn't in the system." I called the other Subaru dealer where I purchased my vehicle who said the battery has a 5 year warranty and encouraged me to get the print off of the reading/data so they could submit the warranty and have it replaced for free. In the meantime, I went to Batteries & Bulbs to have it tested and they said it was "great, tested 490 out of 500." I drove 252 miles to the dealership where I purchased my vehicle and where the battery was installed and they said - "ummm, your battery is fine. I wouldn't go back to that dealer." While I haven't had a "bad" experience at White Bear, every time I go - it's a burnt out bulb that was working when I arrived, a dirty filter, tie rod is torn or something needs fixing. I usually have the "expensive" work done elsewhere and just go to this dealer for the basic repairs because the quote they give me is almost double what I can have at an independent shop or even the Subaru dealer where I purchased the vehicle. To top it off, my tires were purchased only 18 months ago from this same dealer (27,000 miles ago) and during this visit they said that I'll need new tires by November - despite the tires being good for 70,000 miles. While I know dealers upsell their products, it seems a bit excessive. I'd recommend basic services, but nothing more. More
