However, our dealings with Wantagh Mazda and specifically Victor Liantonio could not have gone better if I had scripted the encounter myself. Victor was pleasant, wonderful,addressed all of our questions,and made valuable and useful suggestions. Victor exerted no pressure on us whatsoever to purchase the car at our first meeting and there were no games where the salesman runs back in forth to his manager numerous times until a fair price is achieved. We felt that we got a fair price right up front without the needless, time consuming and phony negotiations utilized by other dealers. Victor addressed to our satisfaction a way out of the outstanding lease on our existing car that we wished to trade in for a new 2012 CX-9. We appreciated that Wantagh Mazda was considerate of our time and expedited the purchasing process. I can and will without any reservation recommend Wantagh Mazda and Victor to any of my family and friends interested in purchasing a car. We intend to return to Wantagh Mazda again to purchase our next car. After shopping around, I reached out to Victor over the phone and he was very attentive and had a very nice manner. Very pleasant to deal with and not sales pushy at all. My wife and I had visited this dealership after visiting another dealership in the area and doing some price comparisons. Victor was very polite and helpful. We decided to go back to the first dealership as another dealership in the area and doing some price comparisons. Victor was very polite and helpful. We decided to go back to the first dealership as we thought we were getting a better price. When it came down to signing on the bottom line, the other dealership had what I call "ghost" numbers. Additional costs here and there. The deal eventually fell through with the sales manager there. We then decided to go back to Wantagh Mazda. Victor was off for the day but Kenny (whom I have nicknamed Brotherly Love) was willing to help out and showed us the car my wife was interested in. He said he would pass it along to Victor that we had returned. We then went in to see Victor on his return. Victor then introduced us to Joe the sales manager and he and I went back and forth on a price. One thing I must say, Joe was very professional in the negotiating process. Not once was he rude or arrogant in the process. We came to an agreement and my wife left them a deposit. NO HIDDEN COSTS. NO NONSENSE. We picked up the car a week later. They had the car ready and all the paper work in order. This, by the way is our first Mazda. Chances are we will be back there in a year or two to replace our minivan. (Binghamton Express, our daughter is in college.) Our only problem with the car is that my wife can't stay off that gas pedal! It's all Zoom Zoom. Gonna have to buy a second radar detector. Would I recommend them to a friend? Yes. More
