My experience at Tenafly BMW I had gone to Park Ave BMW 10 yrs ago and was satisfied. The salesperson we dealt with left. My husband is with Passaic Valley High School in Little Falls, NJ and Tenafly BMW was highly recommended to us. My husband and I are so pleased with everyone we met there. I have to say that our salesman, Ernesto Motta, was very patient, and very very helpful. This is an expensive car and is our gift to ourselves for working hard and celebrating our 70th Birthday. We are giving our granddaughter our 10 yr old BMW and she is so excited! It is in great shape with 90,000 miles. BMW is an expensive car but well worth it. More

Terrible experience Extremely disappointing and aggravating experience with this dealership. It's been a two-month battle with them and they only care for the money they Extremely disappointing and aggravating experience with this dealership. It's been a two-month battle with them and they only care for the money they can make from you and completely ignore the customer's experience, satisfaction or you even returning to their dealership in the future. These are simple business practices any business should follow. Two months ago, I went in for a CPO vehicle. I test drove it and was happy with it. My only concern was a cigarette smell in the vehicle but the salesman assured me that he would get rid of it while we do the paperwork through a special smoke bomb they use to get rid of the smell. After the paperwork was complete, he returned the car to me with the same smell. He said the detailers left for the day and forgot to do it but to bring it back later in the week so they can do it. As the week went by, the smell persisted. I brought the car back to them within the week. By then, my asthma had been flared due to the smell. They did the smoke bomb which was pretty much just spraying minty cologne in the entire car. It was temporary fix and only masked the smell for a couple of days which triggered my asthma even morso due to the combination of now a cigarette and mint odor. Fast forward to today, I've taken the car in 5 different times and they've used all types of techniques possible. I've even left the car there for days at a time. After the 5th visit (last week), one of the dealerships manager,Vinny, gave me the great news that his manager approved for the dealership to take back my vehicle. I told them I'd be purchasing a more expensive car from them for this, as a token of appreciation. Well, low and behold, them "approving" the trade-in of my vehicle means they were just buying it back from me for $6,000 less because of the "negative equity". I had to figure this out when I was working out a new deal with the salesman. The numbers weren't adding up. So it wasn't even explicitly explained to me. They were sneaking it into the deal in hopes I wouldn't figure it out. So, not only do they want to give me less money for a cigarette-smelling vehicle they sold me 2 months ago, but they also want to profit from my new purchase. I then called BMW North America and filed a complaint. After reviewing my case, they said there's nothing they can do. It's upto the dealership. This is absurd, unfair and a nightmare of an experience. I'm left with no choice but to try and sell my vehicle to another dealership because I can't drive the car without the windows being down because my asthma flares up every single time I get in the car. I've been Ubering and borrowing cars because again, I have a hard time breathing in my car. I've explained all of this to Vinny but he didn't seem to care very much and take responsibility for selling me a car that should've never been sold. I refuse to give this dealership any potential business. Despite reading all the negative reviews on Yelp, I chose this BMW Tenafly because of a recommendation from someone I trust. This is my 4th BMW in 7 years and I'm extremely disappointed in the service of this dealership and BMW Corp. as a whole. It is unbelievable that BMW didn't step up to the plate and help me after filing a complaint. All I want is for them to buy back my vehicle for the same price they sold it to me for. I should not have to pay an extra penny for this car. P.S. I will update this review if it gets resolved More

Cream of the Crop I have been a long time customer of BMW of Tenafly -- I think more than 15 years. Years ago, I dealt w/a salesman -- Vincent Joseph -- who I believe I have been a long time customer of BMW of Tenafly -- I think more than 15 years. Years ago, I dealt w/a salesman -- Vincent Joseph -- who I believe was just starting out in this dealership. I always knew Vincent would do well -- he's courteous, knowledgeable, and answered all my ridiculous questions without a blink -- so when I went up this week and found that he was made Manager -- well, it was no surprise. I was looking for another lease -- the lease on my 5 series expires in April. I called Vincent and asked if he had any cars that he thought I would be interested in...that I wanted to get back into a 3 series. He called the next day and said that he put aside a 330 w/3700 miles and he told me that this was the car for me. I went up two days ago and Vincent introduced me to Ernesto Motta who was going to take me for a ride in the car and to explain all the new features. I found Ernesto very knowledgeable, extremely courteous and he had a great sense of humor. I fell in love with the car and we were off to see Landon -- the Finance Manager. He was also very professional as we went over the contract.. After all these years, I still find that BMW of Tenafly has a great group of managers and sales people. I have no reason to look elsewhere for another vehicle when my 3 year 330 series expires. All of these gentlemen - Vincent/Ernesto/Landon and, including of course, Rob Ryan in Service, are an asset to your organization. Eileen Jones More

The absolutely best car buying experience we’ve ever had! We had the worst experience of our lives three days before. They didn’t have to do anything but because of how badly we were treated at another BMW they treated us like we were the most important customers they ever had. They are over 2 hours from our house but they will have 100% of our business and the business of our friends !!!! More

The best salesperson in the industry!! My husband and I were in the market for my first luxury car. We decided to go to our local BMW in Springfield, NJ.
