Regarding the loaner vehicle, our policy requires that loaners be returned within 24 hours of your vehicle's completion, as they are scheduled for other guests. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate your request to keep the loaner for a week to travel to Washington, DC. I look forward to connecting with you tomorrow and working toward a resolution. Wayne, Thank you for your response. I am willing to discuss this with you, but I do want to correct one important point because your public response does not accurately reflect what occurred. I did not decide on my own to keep the loaner vehicle for a week. Before I accepted the loaner, I explained that I had just started a new job in Washington, DC, and due to my commute I might not be able to return it until the following week if traffic delayed me, I picked it up on Saturday. That request was approved before I left the dealership. Had it not been approved, I would have made other arrangements. The issue was never your loaner policy. The issue was that the loaner vehicle was apparently sold while I was using it, and instead of acknowledging that circumstance, I was repeatedly called, threatened with charges, and spoken to in a manner that I found disrespectful and completely inconsistent with the level of customer service I have come to expect from Lexus. I have been a loyal Lexus customer since 1994, currently own two Lexus vehicles outright, and was actively considering purchasing another. After about seven years servicing my vehicles at Lexus of Cherry Hill, I expected to be treated with professionalism and respect—not hostility. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you, but I also believe it is important that the public record accurately reflects that I had prior approval regarding the loaner. My concern has never been about following dealership policy; it has always been about how I was treated after your circumstances changed and how my Service Managers are held to not speaking with me! We both have nothing to lose at this point, so be honest!!!
