Your review is long on your continued verbal (now written) abuse and short on the necessary details. The single reason I asked you to no longer bring you vehicle in for service is because of your treatment of my staff. Randal and his team, mostly woman, are traumatized by their multiple interactions with you. It seems that you believe by insulting and treating women and men with disrespect you will get what you want. And then when you are respectfully called out for your behavior you hide in behind your husband and an anonymous review. The missing facts: 1.) You purchased an electric vehicle from Nutley Auto Kia, we were the only dealership in the district that was not charging $ thousands over MSRP for new vehicles. 2.) You charge your vehicle at public charging stations, and you claim your vehicle was not holding a charge when sitting in your driveway. 3.) Nutley Auto had possession of your vehicle on multiple occasions and each time we charged your vehicle on our in-house charger we never experienced any loss of power or charge. We were never able to duplicate your concern. And each time you were provided with a loaner vehicle. 4.) Our extremely talented team consulted with engineers from Kia Corporate throughout the process, one even came on site and could not duplicate your concern. At no point did Kia Corporate offer to replace the battery on your vehicle under warranty because your concern could not be validated. 5.) Prior to responding to your review this morning, I responded to six 5 Star reviews with many positive comments about the treatment by our staff, that is simply who we are. You can write whatever you want about me (even when it is untrue), but I refuse to allow you to inflict any more of your punishment upon my staff. They all deserve better. 6.) The experience with you was not about being incompetent, rude, combative, embarrassed, etc. It was simply about your mistreatment of our staff. We are entering our 19th year in business and take no joy in parting ways with any customers. In this case we had to do what was right by our employees. 7.) While driving the loaner vehicles provided by us you racked up EZPass toll charges that you now refuse to pay. Respectfully, Jim Russomano, Owner

1st of all i dont know what your talking about women being mistreated, but its inappropriate when i questioning the bill and the assistant manager is raising his voice and we both disagree a situation because he doesn't like to be called"Crooks" it doesnt mean you start taking off your shirt and looking to fist fight the customers Which it did take place. Your assistant manager should have been fired and arrested!!

Our employee did lose their job because the response to your attack was completely inappropriate. You suffer no consequences for being out of control and instigating a completely unnecessary situation over a $90 legitimate charge. Again we are in a terrible place in this world with how people treat one another! Your vehicle had excessive damage that was declined coverage by your insurance company due to a wreckless driving charge (damage caused by spinning 360 donuts in a parking lot - caught on film - are not covered by insurance). The initial repairs were completed properly. The vibrations you were experiencing were at 85 miles per hour -- not a speed we would drive any vehicle. This dealership failed to see the point of my review. Reading the asinine reply of Jim that the cause of a car accident somehow affects whether your car is properly repaired or not. And if they fail to repair it they will blame it on you even after receiving full payment. After I posted the review Anne called my family members and literally said (when blamed for not properly fixing the car): "We are not the ones doing donuts and going above 35” She also threatened that i take the review down, or I come pickup the car. An astounding amount of unprofessionalism: Calling my family because they are unhappy with my review. Shifting the blame to the customer Straight up lies , You claim that I was doing donuts? And it was caught on film ? That’s xx and made up. Show me the so called “caught on film” ? Because I have the dash cam footage All of that just to hide the fact that: The car shaking when taking a right turn even at 20mph. meades1 Unfortunately, we have a different view as to the sequence of events that occurred with the repair of your vehicle. Not all Optima engines require repair or replacement. We are unfamiliar with your vehicle, and your repair history because you have not performed any maintenance with Nutley Kia – history is very helpful to our technicians when diagnosing a vehicle. There was no indication in September that your engine was an issue nor that a replacement was required. While we cannot seek out or solicit warranty repairs, by agreement with Kia Motors, there would be no reason for us to not perform an engine repair or any warranty repair if warranted. Our Master Technician (50+ years’ experience) road tested your vehicle for 5 miles and could not duplicate your concern. Your tires were severely worn, and we recommended that they be replaced; you declined. You were charged a diagnostic fee because your Optima was well outside of basic warranty, and you did not have an extended warranty. In October, we determined your engine failed and placed your Optima in our repair queue. I apologize if you are not aware that we are in unprecedented times with staff shortages, vehicle shortages (one loaner car in service), serious parts delays and a long list of loyal customers who perform maintenance and repairs with Nutley Kia on a regular basis. Despite all these circumstances I am amazed at how quickly we were able to repair your Optima. We have built an incredible business over the past 16 years with a very loyal customer base. There are rare occasions that we feel it is best not to continue doing business with a customer going forward. I am sorry you feel the way you do but when a customer says they don’t trust us it is best for all not to move forward together. Anne Russomano

So now you do admit to telling my husband not to come back? You told me in straight face you NEVER said such. I offered at one point to have my car towed elsewhere but you stated it was already 2 weeks out. In your response you stated you didn’t know the history of our car b/c we weren’t “loyal customers”? You have to know that bad tires isn’t a diagnostic for a complaint of not accelerating and then stalling. And you mean to tell me it’s is just a mere coincidence that the same stalling car’s engine failed just 30 days later? But I digress we for sure will not be a burden in the future. And with all you said you still need to take a piece of advice and pick up the phone to communicate with your customers whether they are “paying” or not the same way you swiftly responded on this public platform. I pay a car note for a vehicle that is manufactured by a company you chose to have ownership stake in sorry that your location was determined to be my nearest dealership. As I opened up with your technicians did an excellent job but you as the face of the business need to do better. But I’m done with the tit for tat take care.

Unfortunately you have been fed inaccurate information from the 3rd parties who towed and diagnosed your vehicle before having it towed to our shop. Out of respect for your privacy I will not geting into details publicaly . We will do what we can to work with you through this situation with you but unfortunately the issue with your vehicle is significantly and likely not covered under warranty.
