Our 6th Toyota, and 3rd RAV4 (a 2013 Limited)...from entering the building, everyone was friendly and greeted us by name. While waiting, various team members stopped to chat like old friends - even the entering the building, everyone was friendly and greeted us by name. There were many warranty and coverage options presented, but we never felt pressured or coerced - we were free to choose only what was pertinent to us. Other brands and models might catch our eye, but when we consider the whole picture, pre- and post-sale, Toyota Scranton is the only team able to cover all of our vehicle needs. More
I went into the dealership knowing that I needed a new car but that was pretty much it. Being a single mom I was certain I was going to duped into something that was over priced and not what I needed. Kei car but that was pretty much it. I was happy with my sales experience at Toyota Scion, but the finance department (Ken) leaves little to be desired.. Billy M. was very good salesman. I dread car shopping due to having to deal with "salesmen" and he has made it a better experience, finally! I have many bad experiences and have yet to go to same dealer or salesman twice. I would come back to deal with Billy again. He took time to explain and no pressure involved and got payment and vehicle I wanted. My words to him were "I love the Rav4 but love the price of the CRV, I also looked at", an that seemed to matter to him. My hesitation lies with the finance dept, Ken who I dealt with...and if there is a future purchase will not deal with him again. I understand that the unpleasant part of purchasing a car (financing), is his job and not an always pleasant one, but by the end of my dealing with him...my only thoughts were "maybe I should cancel this deal and go back to Matt Burne Honda". It appeared that Ken was thoroughly annoyed that I did not spend extra money to purchase the GAP insurance. I'm not sure if it was because I was a female, alone, financing a car that he thought he could intimidate me into it or if that is his stern approach with all customers. But it made a strong impression in my memory, leaving my overall GREAT car experience, only a GOOD one now. I needed a certain car payment and Billy made this happen. I told Ken I could not afford more and he continued to try to get me to purchase GAP insurance. I would recommend Toyota and Billy to others but will strongly caution anyone needing to finance through Toyota Scion and having to experience Ken. Thank you More
My experience at you dealership was great. I was able to get the car I wanted and get out of the Dodge Avenger I had which I liked but the Scion TC was always one of my favorite cars. I told Joe I could on get the car I wanted and get out of the Dodge Avenger I had which I liked but the Scion TC was always one of my favorite cars. I told Joe I could only afford a payment of 380 a month and I wanted 11,000 for my trade, he came back with a ridiculous monthly payment of 425 a month. Then later came back with a 390 a month payment which I agreed on. But he never told me how much I was getting for my trade or I would have never taken the deal. After I put 1000 down and 1 week later went to get the car and sign all the paperwork I saw on the last paper how much they gave me for my trade and it was 3000 less than what it was actually worth in a trade in offer, at least. The highest was offer was 11500, so I felt after seeing that there really is no difference in dealerships. I know i would have gotten a much better deal at scranton dodge but this is the car I wanted. By the way, they are selling my old car on the lot for almost 15000 More
I went to Scranton Toyota with no intention of purchasing a vehicle. I was told by Minooka Subaru that there was "nothing" I could do. I blew my motor and was upside down almost 8k, I knew it wasn't easy but knew it could be done. I was on my way home and figured I'd stop and take a look. Billy Mulligan was my salesperson. He was excellent. He went through the inventory and gave me a list of vehicles from the get go that would work for my situation and we chose the best one for me at that time. That didn't work out, initially, and Billy found something that worked for me even better. For one reason or another, I had never even considered Toyota. Now, I will definitely be going back. More

This time I was proactive and tried to call to make sure they had the part, as the first time they did not. I called service, figuring that by this time the part was in the department an hour before my appt, but was transferred to parts, who then transferred me again supposedly to service but it was someone's voicemail, at which I left a message with my phone number, that I wanted to know whether part was there before I headed out for appt. Since I had no luck and it was very close to when I needed to leave, I then called Ashley, who had made my appt when the part was first to be in, and left voicemail there also. Luckily and thankfully she called me back quickly-even though it was her DAY OFF! but she had stopped in, and noticed my message and kindly called anyway..she is to be commended again, going over and above to help me. I arrived somewhat early, and this time did what I was supposed to and drove up to and into the garage where a rep directed me where to park., and went inside. I waited about 10 minutes as a woman brushed past me several times-really felt I was in the way but I needed the support of standing next to the counter. Once again Mike was working and as he came in from garage she shouted across to him "take this customer, I'm still busy" and told me "go over there" so I did. I was glad to see he was the rep again; he is another employee going above and beyond and is to be commended. After I told him I was back to get the recall part installed and signed papers, I waited in the waiting room quite longer than I expected. Seems that even though I had been there less than two weeks ago and they went through the entire car, they found it necessary to do so again, and he was sent out from the mechanic with the filter in hand to show me again, and a list of other notes about issues same as last visit, except the air filter as I had replaced that myself 12 vs $40. Also then I found out they were just installing the part now after they had been going through the car all this time so far. He estimated 45 min. and checked back with me again saying 5 min. more, and in about a half hour finally I was able to leave, as I could not afford the suggested additional work, having come there to do a recall which was no charge. Granted it is a nice waiting room, and they have Dunkin Donuts which I am sure some appreciated but it was too much walking for me so I wasn't able to have that perk. When I was going into my car, I cleared out the paper mat as it had caused problems driving after my last visit, and a rep in the garage came by and very kindly took it to throw away; I was grateful to save those steps. The number ratings above being overall and general, I would like to say that Ashley, Mike, and the rep who helped me clean out the mat certainly rate a 5 for Customer Service, Friendliness, and Overall Experience, and their work brought the ratings up for the rest of the crew. ---->I would have liked to add this to my previous review from March 27 but it is not up on the site for some reason.
